I had a sick feeling in my stomach. It was like I was being betrayed by my own sister and best friend. "Uh..earth to Wille!" Yelled Jamacica. I rubbed my eyes and tossed away that thought. "....KEITH FULLER ANDERSON!" yelled a mean Miss Alota. Keith's eyes widened and dashed to the door. 5 minitues later, when he came back he look depressed. "Jamacica, Willie..." He whispered. "They got me, they obvisouly don't mind my color." I couldn't believe it! Jamacica didn't looked worried at all. "Willie, can I borrow some of your clothes?" She asked. I nodded slowly. Keith's face had a ghost of a smile dancing on his lips. Jamacica was running away! "No Jamacica, you're not running away!" I shouted at her. She pouted and tried to protest. "But Willie, I'm going to be 16 in a few months! I'm the only girl here, they're gonna keep me longer! Willie please!" She begged. I was two years older than her and I was supposed to leave at 16 but they kept me. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "Keith, should she go?" I asked since he was 3 or 4 months older than Jamacica. He hesitated before he said, "Yeah, there gon' keep her like ol' Canters an' 'Lota did to us." He breathed. I felt like crying. "Well then, I'm coming with you." Keith bit his lip when Jamacica ran over and hugged me. What was wrong with him? "So tonight? I'll cut my hair at the lake!" whispered Jamacica. Keith and I both nodded.
