Chapter Twenty Six

“Hey,” Logan purred with his eyes still closed.

“Hey,” I smiled at him, he looked so cute with his bed hair and all. “How did you sleep?”

“Awesome,” he smiled and hugged me tighter to his body. “You were here all night.”

I grinned and kissed his cheek. “You know what to say all the time, don’t you?”

He chuckled and opened his eyes slowly. “Of course I do,” he winked.

I rolled my eyes and tried to get free of his grip.

“Where are you going?” he asked.

“To take a shower, do some breakfast?”

He shook his head. “No, you will stay here with me, all day if necessary.”

I stared at him in disbelief. “Really? And if we get hungry. Never mind feel like peeing? Are we going to pee in bed, just like that?”

He laughed. “Only you could come up with such an example Ave. Okay fine, you can take a shower and I’ll do breakfast. But we are going to go and buy some things, okay?”

I nodded. “Things for what?” I knew I shouldn’t ask, but still I wanted to know.

“Things I’ll be needing for London,” he swallowed.

I nodded and got off bed, fighting tears as I scrambled for my clothes. I felt Logan’s arms wrap around me. “Don’t,” he whispered.

I swallowed the tears back and kissed his shoulder. “I won’t. Now, where’s the bathroom?”

“Just out the hall to your right,” he told me.

I nodded and he let me go as I went off to find the bathroom.

As the door closed behind me I let the tears fall and a sob escape my lips.

Logan picked up a set of sheets and looked at the price tag. “I think these will suffice.”

I nodded silently and watched as he placed them in the cart. So far we had sheets, bathroom articles, some cleansing articles as well and a lamp.

“What else do you need?” I asked him.

“School articles, you know notebooks the like, but those I can buy over there,” he told me.

I nodded and pressed my lips together, not being able to contain the tears any longer. I felt them flow down my cheeks.

“Ave,” he murmured and wrapped his arms around me.

I started sobbing into his chest. I was sobbing in a Wal-Mart hall. How emotional could I get?

“I can’t stand this Logan,” I choked out between sobs.

He caressed my hair. “I could always stay.”

I shook my head. “That would be selfish, totally selfish. I don’t want you to leave, but I don’t want you to stay if that means you can’t follow your dream.”

He sighed. “This is so hard, isn’t it?”

I nodded as only tears flowed down my cheeks by now, the sobs gone.

“I promise you something, okay? We will e-mail each other and talk on the phone when possible. And when I come back for the summer we can be together again. We’ll work it out. I know we will,” he told me.

I looked up at him. “You are not coming over for Thanksgiving or Christmas?”

He smiled sadly. “Thanksgiving, no and Christmas. I don’t know yet, but if I do you are the first person I’ll go and see,” he promised.

I nodded and hugged him tighter. I couldn’t believe we just agreed how our relationship would take course in a Wal-Mart hall.

I couldn’t believe we had a week. Just one week.
