DO NOTE: I stand corrected with the comment of Puesta meaning Kitty. Puesta DOES NOT mean Kitty. *Damn my dictionary* So I guess in my own language it means Kitty, but it really doesnt :) :P

Chapter Two

Indigo took a couple steps back before rearing up, catching me off guard. I dropped the reins, scrabbling to grab his mane. I felt the hairs between my fingers and fisted both my hands. Indigo didn't put his hooves back on the ground, instead he fell back, narrowly avoiding crushing me in the process. I hit the ground, cussing as my left ankle twisted in the styrup. I screamed in pain as I felt the bones crack and tear through the muscles under the weight of the horse. Indigo rolled away from me, trying to stop the compressing of his organs and completely crushing my foot. I held in my scream while he rolled, but could hold it no more when the pressure was gone and he stood, lifting half of my body off the ground with him. My foot was still stuck in the styrup and I was praying Indigo wouldn't take off, cause I knew he'd probably take my leg with him. I was a sitting duck right now and for the moment, I'd forgotten about the reason Indigo had reared up.

I looked around me, the fogged seemed to have thickened and the forest had darkened around me, at least thats how it seemed. I tried to sit up and found myself sharply inhaling, my leg burned like a bitch. I propped myself up with my good leg, trying to unhook my bad one from the sadle. I succeded and dropped back to the ground. Indigo looked back at me, as if making sure I was alright. I felt a tear roll down my face, I'd never felt pain like this before. Though admitting I'd never broken anything before. Branches snapped, forcing Indigo to break eye contact and look around, he was obviously scared, so was I. I rolled onto my stomach, it was easier to take in my suroundings and move around a bit. I bellycrawled towards the way I thought the trail was.

"Shit." I sighed and stopped as I cut open my hand on a broken tree root. "Can this day get any worse?" I looked up. Eyes met mine, I froze. Not human, the fur around them and the way they were shaped told me dog, but I couldn't bring myself to break its stare. Indigo pawed the ground and snorted, taking the dogs attention from me. They looked each other and it seemed to me as if they were talking. I didn't dare move, not actually sure if I could. I heard Indigo trot forward, trying to warn off the dog. The dog, which I could now tell was a wolf, started to side step me and get closer to Indigo. It growled and I was aware of movement behind the trees and bushes, of course, its pack.

This was it, there was no getting away from this. This is where I die. The wolves made themselves apear from where they were hidden, it was very obvious that they were a strong pack, I could see the muscles under their fur, about 12 wolves all together. I looked back at Indigo, he looked around himself at the dogs then at me. His eyes seemed like he wanted to talk to me, like he wanted to say sorry. Why would he say sorry? He wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for me. I should say sorry. I felt something wet land on my hand, I looked down and realized I was crying. Not even 17 years old and I'm about to get eaten by a pack of wolves, this isn't fair. But I guess lifes not fair.. I was sobbing now, crap. I tried to breath normally and ended up doing that hiccuppy thing. Suddenly I was being pressed to the ground, I felt the huge paws press into my back along with the nails. I tried my best not to make any noise but my throat let out a sqeak. Teeth closed around the back of my neck, not as forcefully as I was expecting, but enough to puncture the skin.

"Be quick.." I breathed, moreso to myself. The teeth unhooked themselves, the paws pressed hard into my back then dissapeared before reapearing with a thud in front of me, heading back into the trees. Wind blew by me as the rest of the pack followed suit. I couldn't even look back to see if Indigo was alright, I blacked out. My head falling onto my arms.

Indigo trotted up beside me, nuzzling me with his snout. He could smell the blood and was frightened, but he didn't want to leave me there alone incase the wolves came back. He walked around in circles til something snapped a branch near me. Taking on a defensive stance he starred at where the sound had come from. From behind a tree, a boy stepped out. My age, maybe older, dirty blonde, shaggy hair. His dark blue eyes looked from me to Indigo and back. When Indigo saw it was a human he stepped over to me, trying to ask the boy for help. Indigo again nuzzled me with his snout, trying one last time to wake me up. It was completely dark out now and there would be no one looking for me, not in these woods. The boy walked over to me and got Indigo to lie down were he was. The stranger rolled me over and picked me up bridal style, my body still limp in his arms. He placed me upright on the sadle and held me in place as Indigo stood.

"Go home boy. Be careful." The boy whispered in his ear and gave him a little push, Indigo started forwards, heading back home to the safety of his barn. He didn't like being in the dark so he picked up his pace a little bit, still slow enough that I wouldn't fall off, but fast enough to get there before everyone went to sleep. The lights in the barn were still on, Indigo directed himself there. As he neared closer he nayed, in hopes of getting the attention of whoever was inside. Pavo ran outside the doors and looked around, as soon as he saw us he yelled to Puesta to go get their dad as he ran over to us. He took Indigo's reins and led him into the barn, still jogging. Puesta came running back into the barn, nearly wipping out when she tried to stop, her dad came in after her. Pavo said something in Spanish and pulled me from the saddle, still out cold. Puesta quickly took Indigo into his stall and took off his sadle and everything while Pavo and his dad brought me back into the house.

By the time I woke up I was sore all over, my back, my neck and my ankle. Damn. I started to sit up and take in where I was.

"Oi. You lay back down right now chica." A very sleepy looking Morboso said to me. He looked awful. I laid back on the couch, looking at him.

"What time is it?" I asked groggily.

"About 3:00AM." He said as he pulled out his phone.

"Damn." I sighed. "Hey where's the bathroom?"

"Right there." He pointed right beside the couch. "You need help?" He started to get up.

"No, I can hobble that far." I half smiled. I got into the bathroom and closed the door behind me. Looking in the mirror I saw my makeup completely ruinned, mascara and eyeliner had run down my face and smeared onto my hands. I propped myself up against the sink and ran the water. Once I was rid of all the makeup I dried my face and hands. As I went to leave I realized I wasn't in my clothes. They were a girls clothes but I don't remember changing.. Stumbling back out to the couch and sitting down.

"OK, please tell me it was Puesta who changed me." Morboso laughed.

"Yes, it was. So what happened last night?" He leaned forward.

"Well y'know that demon dog story?" He nodded slowly, I finished with a singsongy voice. "Well it's true."
