It was summer as I woke up from the heat hitting my body. I quickly glanced at the clock and saw that it was already 7 in the morning.
"Precy! You go down now dear, or your food will go cold!" I rolled my eyes then quickly jumped to the shower.
'Anrie'; that was my nickname. Because for one thing, my feelings were always unrequited. First was when I fell in love with Chase Ruperts, but he rejected me. It was always like that till I finally gave up on the 5th guy I fell in love with. I stopped hoping, I stopped hoping for a miraculous change. Miranda; my ever dearest bestfriend was the only one who always encouraged me to confess. It's her fault! On the contrary though. But it was me who confessed; so I'm stupid. I ever wondered if my feelings will be finally answered.
I stepped out of the shower then dried my hair. I chosed to wear a simple shirt with jeans.
"Precy, stop glaring at the food, that's bad." Mom scolded.
"Um, no. I'm not glaring, but look! It's vegatables! I don't eat one." She laughed.
"Just try it, Precy. It will answer your nutrition needs." She was shitting me again.
"Haha, funny mom. Whatever."
"That's not a good answer to your mom, Precy."
"I'm just worried I'm late, Miranda must be here anytime now."
"Oh, my Anrie missed me!" I rolled my eyes.
"Shut up Miranda if you want your hair still in place." Miranda pouted.
"Jokes aren't your mood for today, huh?" I nodded. "Well, fine! Just eat fast and we're leaving."
"Okay. I'm done."
"You haven't even eaten a bit." I smiled at mom.
"It's fine, I'll get over hunger." I grabbed Miranda's hand then bursted out of the door.
"I forgot my phone!" I sarcastically said.
"Hmm, you can borrow mine." Miranda offered; she was biting her fingers again.
"But I wrote the answer to the assignments." She stared at me wide-eyed.
"Cheater!" I sloped down in my seat.
"Doomed, Miranda!" I glared.
"My first class is English!" SHe laughed it off.
"And mine." I reminded.
"We'll get over it."
But until we dropped out of school, I didn't get over it.
"Anrie!!" I glared at Miranda but she wasn't the one speaking.
"Who the hell is that?" I asked Miranda.
"What?" She asked, she wasn't paying attention as usual.
"DOesn't matter." I scoffed.
"ANRIIEEEEEEEE!!!!" The voice shouted again, this time, I turned around.
"Henny?" I asked myself. Miranda turned too.
"Oh, it's Henny." Miranda answered.
"It's me you two dumbs!" She laughed it off; it wasn't funny.
Henny was the laughing stock of our friendship, she was often not found with us because her family is working a company and her knowledge is a must.
"How are you?" I bothered to ask, Miranda was just smiling at her.
"As usual, busy woman." She joked.
"So, you get to go to school now?"
"Yeah, I have a day-off for one week!"
"I hope they add 4 weeks." I suggested.
"Don't worry, we'll make it special!" I hugged her.
"Anrie, your aura is still sad, you know?"
"I'm not getting any younger, Henny."
"Aw, okay. I'll call you Precy from now on, then?" I nodded.
"How's your lovelife, Henny?" Miranda finally spoke.
"I have a boyfriend!!" I flinched at her words. I turned around. "Oh, I didn't mean to say something..."
"It's fine, I'm just not recovering from my stupidity. No one will ever love me."
"Don't be such a looser! Just go on pampering and you'll get the guy of your dreams!"
"I hope so, Henny."
We started walking at the hallway, ignoring the heat from the sun. I wonder what this year gives.
