“My lord i have heard news of strange magical activity in the north,Sideroen-Lasdwe, to be precise.” Said a husky male voice in the darkness.
“I see” replied a cold voice.” And what kind of activity?”
“Portal opening my lord”
“Put a stop to it”
“Yes my lord”
Rosadalen and her twin brother, Rether, were walking around the mountains between The Empire of the Golden Aura and Nyuruit Lasdyuere. The calm mountains stretched on for what seemed like ever with their lower slopes cloaked in pine forests. Rosadalen was ahead of her brother when she crested another rocky ridge and admired the view. The rocky snow covered mountains reached out as far as they could before they became low hills forming a forested valley with a river gurgling down the slopes. It was a way out the mountains!
Bildren first caught site of the children as they came down the mountain slopes in high spirits. The boy was probably about 15 and his clothes were rags along with his long black hair which looked like someone had attempted to cut; he also seemed a bit on the simple side. His sister was probably his twin and would have been beautiful if it wasn’t for her scrawniness and the layer of mud, she also seemed more of a mother to her brother.
Bildren being a lead hunter for one of Katar packs he let the children stay.
“Rosa the waters cold” Whined Rether as he tipped his toe into the river.
“What do you expect its mountain water” Replied Rosadalen from her rock on the bank. “You need a wash anyway”
Her brother pulled a face and then jumped into the water with a scream only to reaper again with a shocked look on his face. Rosa wished she was back home in the loving arms of her mother and listening to the wise words of her father, but those days had been burnt away in a raid.
Zhauhxaun had Zilchin in to perfect place. He was tied to a chair at a small table laden with food and another chair on the other side. Zhauhxaun wore a glowing red robe and had decorated herself for the occasion.
“Is this you attempt at trying to love someone Zhauhxaun” Said Zilchin trying to wriggle out the rope. “Because it isn’t working with me”
Zhauhxaun paid no attention to Zilchin and sat on the other chair and began to eat.
“What do you plan to do with me then?” Demanded Zilchin.
“What i plan to do with you? To feed you of course” With that she scooped up some rice and fed it into Zilchin’s mouth. “Their you go darling, did you enjoy the rice? I bet you did”
“What is the point in doing this? Can you not see that no one loves you because they know what you’ll do”
“Now now baby, mother needs to go fetch things” Said Zhauhxaun faking love and making her bitter cold be felt.
‘This is utter madness’ thought Zilchin ‘This girl is positively mad, but i do know why. I could you voices in my head but why not. As a child Zhauhxaun was ignored by her father and most around her because of some prophecy by some shaman claiming that one day Zhauhxaun would destroy the empire. She was very talented at the arts but this to was ignored, so she decided to live in isolation and she eventual grew up to become the most magnificent creature many a man has laid an eye on. But you wouldn’t want her to lay an eye on you.
