Chapter 1:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Marcey raised up and glared at the alarm clock. As much as she didn't want to, she had to get up. She looked over to her left and saw her beautiful boyfriend laying beside her, snoring.

How did I ever get you? She wondered to herself. Dylan was blonde-headed, like her, and unlike Marcey, had bright green eyes. Dylan's eyes were the first thing Marcey noticed about him. Marcey's ice-blue eyes looked at her sleeping lover and she wished she didn't have to go.

"Dylan...Dylan...I have to go to work." Marcey tapped Dylan's shoulder until he stirred and looked up at her. He rubbed his eyes and acted like he couldn't remember where he was at.

Marcey smiled and jokingly asked, "Rough night, hun?"

Dylan smirked and replied, "Still getting use to the place, I suppose. Why do you have to get up so early?" He looked over at the window and scowled when he noticed the sun wasn't even up.

"I'm sorry, baby, but that's the price I pay for having this new job. I want you to drive me to work." Marcey got up and made her way to the bathroom.

Unable to go back to sleep, Dylan sat up and did a series of stretches. "Why do I have to take you to work? Is there something wrong with your car?"

Dylan was a simple mechanic at a little auto repair shop in downtown New York. If anyone could fix a car, it was Dylan. Marcey peeped her head out of the bathroom door and stated, "Nothing wrong with it...I just wanted you to see me off on my first day."

When Dylan tried to object, Marcey showed her famous pouty face and murmured, "Please, Dylan. I want you to take me to work."

He finally gave up and said, "Oh alright. Just this once."

"Yay!" Marcey squealed and ran back into the bathroom. Dylan chuckled and got up out of bed. After about ten minutes, Marcey was out of the bathroom with a towel on top of her head and another wrapped around her body.

While pulling clothes out of the closet, Marcey didn't sense Dylan coming up from behind her and shrieked when he yanked the towel off her body.

"Dylan!! Give that back!" She started chasing him around their apartment but soon gave up, because she was running late.

He threw the towel on the bed and stated, "I don't know why you get so freaked out when I do that. It's not I've never seen you naked before."

Marcey quickly changed into a business suit and sat on the bed beside Dylan. "I know. But, I can't play games right now, Dylan. I have waited so long for a job like this and I want to be good, you know?"

Dylan wrapped his arm around Marcey and kissed her softly on her forehead. "You'll be great," he replied, "if you wasn't good, they wouldn't have hired you, silly."

When Marcey stood up to get her heels, Dylan took the towel and whipped her with it. She turned around and glared at him. "What did I just say?"

Dylan shrugged his shoulders and stated, "I couldn't resist."

An hour later, Dylan was speeding down a highway to get Marcey to work on time. He glanced over at her, time to time, and watched her put her makeup on in the rear-view mirror. "You're ridiculous," he said.

Marcey had just finished applying lip gloss to her lips when she retorted, "Don't you want me looking sexy on my first day?"
Dylan stared ahead, at the road, when he mumbled, "No."

He parked his mustang in front of the bank's entrance and turned off the ignition. "Why'd you turn the car off," asked Marcey.

"Do you not have time to give me a really good goodbye kiss?" Dylan leaned over and planted a hard kiss on Marcey's mouth.

As much as she didn't want to ruin her makeup, she gave in to Dylan's soft lips and kissed him back. She broke away and whispered, "I love you."

Dylan smiled and replied, "I know you do. Call me on your break."

She nodded and stepped out of the car. Dylan watched her walk all the way up the stairs and didn't leave until she was completely in the entrance.

At a stoplight, he pulled out his cellphone and dialed a number. "Hey. Are we still on for today," he asked the other end.

"Of course! Do you have the address for the bank?"

Dylan looked through his rear-view mirror and grinned. "Yeah, man. I have the address."
