PLEASE NOTE: This is the third poem in my trology, please read the other two first.

PLEASE NOTE: If you havnt read part 1 and 2 already then read them now! This is a trilogy of poems and you have to read them all.

Part 1:http://www.booksie.com/romance/poetry/jamesb/a-love-story-in-poems-part-1-marry-me

Part 2:http://www.booksie.com/romance/poetry/jamesb/a-love-story-in-poems-part-2-utterly-contempt

It was inevitable

That it would happen one day

But, we never expected this to happen

Why can’t you just stay?

.

Your smile was something of pure beauty

A smile an artist could only wish to create

To get the chance to see it for just one more second

A million years I would wait.

.

All I could ask for is one last kiss on your lips

The warming affection you always displayed

Now I stand here remembering it all

But eventually, all memories fade.

.

The soft melodic tones your voice made

Were music to my ears

I would give anything to hear that voice

I would go through all these tears.

.

One minute you were here

The next you were gone

I would give anything to have a few minutes

I would even settle for one.

.

Just always remember,

These 3 simple words,

I,

Love,

you.

I love the poem. In response to your email, I'd prefer that you used a name. You could put it in the description or title if you wanted to.

The first two stanzas reminded me a great deal of the tone my poems usually take. I really like the line about, "all these tears." The last stanza is very good! I like the wispy feeling it gives at the end. I tryto explain what I like and dont like about poems. I hate leaving a writer with a vague compliment. Hope I was able to somewhat articulate my feelings.

Nice display of your emotions though a poets verse. I could connect with you and feel your admiration and desires to have more time with this girl.

Well done!

Hi James, sorry I'm only just getting round to doing this. I've read all 3 of these poems and I really enjoyed them, especially the last one because it was the most flowing. Maybe you could join them together with a mini verse about the passing of time which repeats for each verse? Anyway, just my suggestion. Well done!
