Monday. The day of the week where you struggle to even get out of bed and when you finally do, you have to argue with yourself not to get back in it. Nothing ever good happens on Mondays Jazz believed. After Monday, the rest of the week seems easy. Right?

"Mornin' Jazzy." the little boy teetering on the linoleum floor smiled happily, toy dinosaur clutched tightly in his small hands.

"Good morning Liam!" Jazz replied to her youngest brother who shared her bright green eyes and dimples. He was her main man she would always tell him. Liam had a bond with Jazz one else had. When she thought about it, she hoped his innocence and loyalty remained when he got older, but if he was anything like his and Jazmine's older brother, that couldn't possibly happen. Riley is a whole other story.

"Where's dad, Liam?" Jazmine asked as she headed over to raid the fridge.

"Work early." He giggled as the dinosaur rested against the table upside down, looking as if doing a headstand.

"And Julia?"

" She um. " the boy paused. "I don't know sissy." The 4 year old boy confessed and sat at the table, seeing Jazmine holding an extra bowl for cereal.

"That's okay bud, I'll walk you to daycare on my way to school." Jazmine poured cereal for the both of them and they rambled in pointless conversation until it was time to leave. Walking him wasn't a chore, she always did when her dad or step mom weren't there to drop him off (Which was about 5 times a week)

"Answer the question Miss Rhodes." the balding man frowned as the distracted girl stared out the dusty window. A small figure steadily approached the school from the back woods. As the figure grew it was made out to be the boy. The one she saw over and over again.

"Miss Rhodes, today. What is the pythagorean theorem?"

"Uh, A squared plus B squared equals C Squared." She mumbled and returned towards the window ignoring the teachers remark. She figured the boy would be gone, just a figment of her imagination once more, but no. The boy was stationary now, leaning against a large tilted tree in the school yard only a few feet diagonal from the classroom itself.. She could see his face almost perfectly out the smudged window and he seemed to be nervous almost. Something in his face made him look scared or worried. The fact that he was tapping his foot didn't help his case much either. The boy's jade eyes seemed immovable, staring directly at the girl.

"He's not real Jazmine." She kept telling herself. "He will disappear soon, like always."

To test her theory she waved. And his stiffness changed. He blinked and stood straight up. Jazmine waved again and he seemed to panic, backing away from the school, and then he was gone. Not how he usually disappears, she saw him running away, swiftly into the woods. Dodging scattered trees to get away. He was no where to be seen anymore, having been consumed by the forestry.

"Miss Rhodes, you look like you just saw a ghost." Mr. Drell said looking at the girl.

"I think I just did." she thought herself.
