I glanced in the mirror one last time, making sure my outfit was perfect.

"Scarlett, hurry up!" my sister yelled.

She didn't understand the concentration needed to make a perfect outfit. I sighed and grabbed my phone. I ran downstairs and got in the car.

"What takes you so long?" she asked.

"If I'm going to be famous one day, I need to look the part now. I would be utterly humiliated if TMZ showed me dressed like I don't care about anything" I looked over her outfit and scrunched my nose "kinda like you"

She was dressed in typical Taylor fashion: sweatpants, a hoodie, and sneakers. I don't see how we're related.

"We're going to school. There's no one to impress there"

"Except the entire student population"

"It's so strange. You're the only theatre and chorus nerd that's managed to be popular"

"It's because I dress to impress" I gestured to my outfit.

I had on a sheer white shirt with an undershirt, dark blue Hollister jeggings, and black boots. I pulled down the visor and used the mirror to look over my makeup.

"Such a diva" Taylor scoffed.

"Not really. You just think that because my life is better than yours"

"We have the same life. We're sisters!"

"I don't think we are. Our lives are so different. I have all the talent and many more friends from my exquisite personality"

"You call yourself talented. You don't put it to good use. Try out for American Idol"

I looked at her, bewildered "Never! I don't need a show like that to put me in a box and tie me down. I'll get discovered at some point"

"Whatever. You'll be stuck here in Lincoln just like everyone else"

When she parked, I got out the car as soon as I could. She's beyond annoying. I walked over to my group of friends who were talking enthusiastically about something.

"Did you hear?" Eliza asked as soon as I walked up.

"Probably not" I shook my head.

"Damien Jones is coming to Lincoln next week!"

"Damien Jones the producer?"

"Why is he coming here?"

"He's looking for land for one of his artists to shoot a music video. This is the moment you've been waiting on"

"Yeah and I know exactly what I'm going to sing and wear" I smiled.

I was well prepared for this moment. It's the thing I've been waiting for my whole life. I could taste the fame. I was burning with overwhelming passion and desire to make the moment count.

This was it. My big break.

Sorry it's short! I thought this was the perfect place to end it in order to begin the next chapter where I wanted to :)
