Well, that was it. The days of being single were about to end. In 2 hours he'd be married. Happily married? Who knows? In his mind, marriage was like russian roulette. Just like all relationships. Always just a click away from disaster.

Mary was a good girl. His parents liked her, his friends liked her, his ex-girlfriends hated her. So everybody proved to him she was a "catch". The truth is he never doubt about her. That's why he proposed. The future was looking bright and pink. Full of candy and smiling faces. What more he could ask? He was wearing his white shirt when a bunch of words showed up to answer that exact question. Booze, one night stands, football games, guilty pleasures, days of sloth... All of these stuff would end, or even worse they'd change from today.

Of course it was a little late to change his mind. But was that the question? Was he regret of this marriage to be? Maybe it was nervous of this day. The happy day that carries anxiety attacks before the ceremony. Nah, tomorrow he would be happy, enjoying the sea of their honeymoon island.

He was looking himself in the mirror. He was gorgeous! A God's true miracle about to tie the knot in a little chapel. Suddenly he couldn't breathe. He sat down and try to focus. A few minutes later he realise with terror that he had nothing to focus on. He couldn't look at the bright side because there was no bright side. The only bright thing was the wedding dress Mary would wore.

His body was numb, exactly like his head. Click... click... click... he had no control of the gun. Click... click... The russian roulette continued. He was only waiting for the bang that would paint the walls with his brain. It was too late to back of. Back of of what? His new life? What the fuck was wrong with his old life? Why he felt he was in need of change? Why the hell did he proposed to her? Suddenly Mary transform to a big bad witch in his mind. He had forced him to change his ways of thinking, his way of life. She had b&e his life. Fuck Mary! Fuck him who allowed her to do what she did. Fuck his family and their prejudices. He never wanted to be a married gentleman, so fuck 'em all.

He left his expensive suit on the bed and left jumping of the window. He ditched the marriage and his stupid shape of life. He'd start all over again. But this time with no mistakes.

Mary was looking astonishing in her wedding dress. "I promise to love you without condition, to honor you each and every day. To laugh with you when you're happy, to support you when you're sad. To guide you when you ask for direction. To challenge you to be a better person and allow you to do the same for me. To be your biggest fan and your ever present listening audience.".

It was a great day, a happy indeed. Even he came too close to blow this wedding up, something inside him reasoned himself.
