The world to me is boring now. I have nothing left in it to keep me happy. I drift through the years hoping to see some resemblance of my past but it is a waste of my eternal time. I, Braxtan Cyrus have lived for over 1000 years. Yes I am a vampire. The oldest I know. I prey on the humans, drink their blood and leave them to die.
Myself and Lexi have been companions for years. Feeding together, killing together, torturing together. We met over 150 years ago when I changed her. She was beautiful with her straight blonde hair that reached her hips. No matter how many times I tell her, she always ties it up in one of them knot things. I don’t know what they call them now; I don’t really care to be quite honest. Lexi loves the New World with all of its technology. Truthfully? I’d just love to get lost in a book but Lexi prefers using what she calls an I Pad. I don’t know what one of them is and I would rather not find out.
The world has changed. But I have not. I am still the monster that scourged the Old World and killed at will. Vampires are supposed to change with the times to blend in. Lexi’s way of blending in means tight clothing to show off her cleavage and toned body. I turned her when she was 26 and I was turned when I turned 30. I look young for my age – my human age that is – with my jet black hair shorter than shoulder length. My deep blues eyes give away my age, for they have seen many things a man should not witness. You would know me if you saw me on the streets of England if you saw me. I wear a black cape with red silk inside. Yes I know about the stereotypes that Dracula started, who do you think he got his fashion advice from? Correct. It was me. Oh how the stereotypes annoy me. Lexi told me about a movie named Twilight? The vampires in the film sparkle when out in the sun! Yes I did say sparkle you did not misread my writing.
Lexi also told me about a television show called Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Who ever created the show was on to something. Slayers did exist but it was not just women. Men were Slayer’s too. I know what you’re thinking so I will answer it. Yes, I have killed plenty of Slayers in my time but that was because they hunted me. I did not harm them or their families. I just took what I needed and left. Yes I was talking about blood.
I must say farewell for now, Lexi is hungry and keeps annoying me by playing that damn Angry Birds game with the sound up loud. I will write again soon.
