Well as a kid I never realized what I had until I had lost it. My mother worked very hard, as she had me and my sister by age like... 22 or 23. She tried her best to finish college, and get part time jobs to help pay for things regarding my sister and I. And she STILL to this day has not finished college, sadly. However she is not dumb. Or stupid. Or uneducated at all in any way. She is actually the smartest adult I have ever met. Maybe even more than my teachers. And her love for music always filled me with joy because I shared her fondness! But since we moved, things just got somewhat depressing in my eyes. First off, all my friends were still on Lummi Island. My mother wouldnt even let me have a Facebook account to at least message my friends. I literally had to leave everything behind. Inculding my memories because I forgot most of what I even did there. It is actually a life goal of mine to buy a house on Lummi Island later in life. It was really my best years of life even with the grandparent drama. A think our move was mainly so dramatic because we went from a house to an apartment... And guess what? My sister and I still shared rooms. *facepalm* Okay, let me just say that having to share a room with a teenager is NOT fun. Hailee and I had decided to have one side hers, and one mine. I was extremely generous and had my bunk bed by the door where I would hear everything, and I even let her have the closet. I may have not had more objects than her, but clothes yeeees. (I deserved that closet, dangit) Moving on, let me also say that 4th and 5th grade were the longest, and the most horrifically boring two years of my life. Period. In 4th grade the beginning of my year was horrible. The exterior of our school driving in looked literally like a prison. All the trees and plants were dead. It looked like one of those old houses that everybody is scared of, and thinks its haunted by evil spirits. It's like, they didnt even try to make it seem friendly. The LEAST they could have done was plant flowers in pots or something.. I mean cmon people. You had one job, was it to make kids pee their pants every morning? Hope you have a big paycheck because those new pairs of pants arent going to buy themselves. And as if that wasnt enough, the Principal was just straight-up scary. He never had a smile OFF his face. You think those old grandpas in horror films who dont believe in ghosts are scary? People who constantly smile are like... Serial-killer-wearing-hockey-mask-carrying-chainsaw x10 kind of freaky. I had to be in class with his son, too. But he was a smart, dickhead. Not a nerd, he was a huge dickhead. Period. 5th grade was along the same lines, but just when you thought nothing could get worse, the unspeakable occured... Frozen was released. About a couple weeks after it was released into theaters, it turns out we had a lovely surprise for our school talent show. If I remember correctly it was like, 2nd or 3rd graders singing "Let it Go" which if you didnt know, is a song Elsa the Queen sings after she leaves the kingdom because she was being a little jerkish to her sister Anna, and everyone saw that she had cold hands of doom. (Best horror film, 13.4/10) And 5/6 girls singing had forgotten their lines in the song just when you thought they couldnt be more off-pitch. The one girl who seemed to have memorized the whole song stopped because she was too embarrassed to sing by herself. To be honest, I feel like my friends and I could have rocked that talent show with our perfect singing skills at age 11. ;) Yeah, no. But at least we wouldnt forget a simple line like, "That perfect girl is gone!" And for the record, the only reason I know so much about Frozen is because my 1 year old sister watches it almost every night now. Thanks Walt Disney, really helping a brother out these days with your gay cartoons about incest. *shakes head* Hang tight, the roads get thinner from here.
