"Actually, I wanted to know." Said some middle-aged man that was obviously talking to me, but the thing is, I couldn't even bring myself to speak again in front of him. He was tall, and I mean tall, about 6'6tall. And he has light blonde hair with brown streaks, with brown eyes that have little specks of light blue. That right brown with blue, and not blue with brown. he has a perfectly good looking hot face, and we was wearing a black tux with a silvery-purple tie, along with black dress shoes.

I was so surprised that he could even find a tux that would fit his tall height-- And what are you doing Jessica?!? I thought to myself, stop checking out this grownup and speak! He's waiting! I looked up embarrassed, because he had a smirk on his face like he knew was I was thinking. So I finally brought myself to say, "oh, sorry, I- Ugh... Do I know you?"

He held his hand out towards me. "I'm Jay, and you are Jessica, am I right?" He asked.

I took his hand in my own and shook it, "yes, you are correct, Jessica Skye to be exact."

"It is nice to meet you Jessica Skye." He said. "Would you like to chat with me and my wife, so that we can find out more about you?"

"Umm, yeah sure, that is what this thing is for anyways." I said as he started leading me to his wife I'm guessing.

"Good, she's just over there, and then we can go find somewhere to sit down." He said as we neared the lady.

She was so beautiful and so young looking, maybe only five years older than me. She was about my height, 5’9; I could tell because we were both wearing heels about the same height and I could look straight at her and see directly into her eyes. And her hair was the same brown as mine, but maybe a little lighter. She had brown eyes, a perfect tan, and a perfect dress. Her dress was white, short, and fits perfectly on her curves.

Once jay and I got a foot away from her she stopped talking, and a big smile came onto her face. "Hello there! You must be Jessica?” She asked. How did these people know me? I thought t myself.

I nodded and out my hand for her to take it. "Yes, and you are?" I asked.

"Oh yes! I am Amunet. Amunet Johnson. And it is a pleasure to meet you." She said as she took my hand and shook it slowly.

"Since we wanted to find out more about Jessica, I thought we should find a nice calm and quiet place outside to do so." Jay said.

Amunet gave a genuine smile. "Of course, let's go, it's awfully loud in here anyways."

Unexpectedly Amunet hooked her arm through mine, and then did the same with Jay. And then she led us towards the exit and to the closest bench she could find that was empty. So Amunet sat down on one and pulled us down with her, and unhooked her arm from mine.

Immediately I stood up. "Umm, I think that maybe I should sit across from you guys, because usually these work better that way so that we can so that we can see each other better." I said as I walked quickly to the bench across the path from them. And once I was seated I said, "So you guys can as me anything you want now, I don't mind."

Jay smiled and looked at Amunet, then back to me and asked, "How long have you been living here, at the orphanage?"

I gave a sad smile. "Well I've been living here since I was ten. So six years now."

Amunet’s eyes had a sad shine in them. "What? I thought that a child wasn't aloud to stay here over five years." She said.

"Yeah, actually it's me and a couple of other people that were here the longest."

Jay actually looked sorry for me when he said. "I shouldn't have asked that, I am truly sorry. It was rude o--"

He didn't get a chance to finish when I cut him off saying, "look! Don't bother feeling sorry or anything like that. Cause at this moment that is about the last thing I need right now. So just, please, don't worry about it."

There stayed silent for a little, so I looked around the campus. I never really got a good chance to see it at night, but now that I have the chance to. I took it. I looked up, and you could see all of the stars in the night sky, with not a cloud in sight. Then I looked at the path. It was just a dirt path to make it earthier with the perfect grass beside it. And there were light post all along the path, because where ever the light wasn't it was pitch black.

I didn’t even realize that I was deep in thought when Jay asked, "so how are you in school?” and I could tell that he had asked the question twice.

"Sorry, I do really well with my grades, like right now my average is 99.5." I said. "And I have been taking grade twelve classes, even though I can't graduate until I am seventeen. But I'm okay with that."

Amunet look literally shocked. "Wow, are you serious? You must be really smart then?"

"Err, I just have no one there to distract me or get in my way." I said why is it a shocker that I'm so smart? I thought.

"Well that's really good. That smarter the better right?" Jay said with a laugh.

"Yeah." Was all I could say. I have never really told anyone my average, so I felt kind of awkward now that I had. "Is there anything else you would like to ask me?"

Amunet looked at Jay and he shook his head. "No, that should be good enough. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. And It was nice meeting you."

All I could do was nod. So Amunet and Jay linked arms and got off the bench together, then they walked away slowly.

I could hear Jay saying, "I liked her, and we always wanted a smart child." And all Amunet did was nod, and I could just picture her smiling.

That made me smile, though I felt like crying. But I didn't even know why. Maybe it was because I knew what a waste that little interview was when of course nobody was going to take me into there home. I just had to learn to cope with the fact that nobody wanted me.

Slowly I got up from the bench and walked up the path back to the building. And I went over to the refreshment table and got a new cup of juice, then turned around and headed towards the back of the room to sit down on an empty bench.
