Entry # 3- SEPTEMBER 5TH 2012

Today was the first day of school. I passed the library. A neat little place with books lining the rows...I hated how immaculate it was. Sure, there were a lot of books, but the point of being a book-person is being able to have a story. How about this:

I walked into a library filled with books that were scattered around tables. It was amazing and it took me quite a bit to find the book I was destined for, but it was all worth it!

I went into the library, went to a computer, found where the book I wanted was, and then I went to the shelf to find someone had smuggled the book out of the library without the librarian realizing. Aw, man, I wanted that book for a project!

Maybe people take my ‘the library is too neat’ as crazy. Maybe people agree. I don’t know. I wonder why people are supposed to always be neat...

No, but seriously. This kid is the nicest in my math, science, social studies and English classes. Plus, he likes William Shakespeare! HOW COOL IS THAT!? I literally walked into his desk (subtle, right?) and the book fell. I handed it back to him and he-I QUOTE-said “Nah, it’s cool, it’s the fifth time I’ve read it so far, anyway,” after I apologized for losing the page he’d dog-eared.

His name was-at least, on these entries-Jonathan. The minute I told James about this kid, James knew I’d been impressed by the whole ‘fifth time I’ve read it so far’ about a piece of Shakespearean literature.

QUOTE FROM SHAKESPEARE UPON WHICH I LOVE: “Some people are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.” – William Shakespeare; Playwright, Poet, Author.

One day I’ll achieve greatness. I just know it. What else would I do with my life? Become a doctor like my mother wants? Uh-no. Do what I wish like my father wants? More likely.

I’m not going to let society rule my life. The whole point of this-you people reading what I say-is to explain to the world that I, a bookaholic/book nerd/book geek WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT, am going to ignore all that society throws at me. You shouldn’t judge people based on what they are. Judge them on what they do. Otherwise, you’re just making assumptions that shouldn’t be assumed.

In conclusion, I don’t give a damn about what society wants from me. I’m going to give society what I can, whether or not society wants it or not. I am who I am. You can’t change me, so just stop trying.
