Yeah, I know. Crappy title. Everyone in my Honors English class loved it though. The goal of this assignment was to use 10 of our vocab words to create a lyrical poem. A lyrical poem is simply a poem that displays emotion. The underlined words are vocab words.

Lyrical Poem
The perspicuity of that moment made it clear.
The little, warm, furry ball was gone.
The little thing that never gave me a remonstrance,
Never had any consternations or cares,
Was never coming back.
It gave me more than the trifle of love I deserved
And was a penitent for the things I had done.
Her felicitous face was like the sun on an overcast day.
The clemency she gave me for messing up
Was never ostentatious
Usually manifested in a lick of the fingers
Or the curling up into a ball by my side.
The always impetuous,
Never diffident,
The puppy I loved for so short a time,
Was gone.

Ya. That was the main reaction of my English class. Can you believe I've never had a dog and never had a pet die?
