I was in darkness once again. Once again I have lost what I have started to build. Open your eyes.
I slowly opened my eyes to a dome-like place made out of marble with ten-foot tall men in suits staring down at me. They were sitting at a table with piles of paper. The man in the middle held a stack of pages, roughly seventeen sheets.
“Arisa Rune!” the man in the middle said, his voice booming across the area.
“Y-yes!” I stammered. God, this seems like an interrogation!
“We have reviewed your life! God has given us permission to send you back to Earth to repent!” he said.
“Why would I have to repent?” I asked desperately. For all my life, I have never gotten a grade lower than a B-plus and never gotten in trouble.
“That is God’s decree!” he shouted. His voice echoed in my mind. He flicked his hand and I was soaring over blue skies. I looked back and saw white wings, with feathers not leathery, on my back.
Oh my dear lord of anything that’s holy. I have wings! Real wings that could fly! I tried tucking them in and started to lose altitude. I extended them again and flapped. I rose on the warm air currents and soared above the clouds, the sun warming the place between the wings. I tucked in my wings and dropped down to a deserted part of a park. I found out that I was wearing black shorts with white thigh-high socks threaded with light pink ribbon and lilac Converse low-tops. I was also wearing a light pink v-neck t-shirt. It’s a pretty fashionable outfit if you ask me. In my pocket, I found an envelope with a key inside of it and an address stating that I’ll live in Toronto.
Somehow, I knew the place I had landed in was Music Garden. The garden is actually really close to the address stated on the envelope so I was lucky!
