Because even 'love' can sound like 'evil' if it's twisted enough ;)

If You'll Be My 'Psycho',  We Can Follow the 'Path' Together

You turn up at my door soaked red to the bone,
Your eyes are crazed, tainted with darkness,
Mouth twisted in a sinister grin,
Breathing hard,
Hand gripping a dripping blade.
How the city must have trembled last night
When there's so much murder on your face.

It feels like only yesterday
The day I woke up trapped in that room.
My face all around, my own eyes staring back at me
You were the vision of evil.
My screams rang through the house.
But the hours past,
Days even.
I heard my parents cry through the wall,
My throat too sore to yell anymore.
'How did I end up with this fate?' was all I could think
But I hadn't seen anything yet.

I spent those days being your puppet,
The honourary guest to your tea party,
Your involuntary confidante and 'friend'.
You laughed like the insane
Like you were far past saving
But you cried like a griever
Like you had nothing inside.
And that's when I saw
That small flicker in the dark.
You are crazy and sad,
But misunderstood.
I look in your eyes and nobody's home.
Your soul is a black hole.
Dark, but impossibly magnetic
And it's drawing me in.

It's ironic at best
And stupid at worst
That just when you let me go
Is when I wanted you the most.
Came to your door with flowers in hand,

One look and our adventure began.
Now we chase the dawn in stolen trucks
Sip coffee at crime scenes
I'll surprise you on your birthday
-Sharpen all your favourite knives.
I'll keep your skeletons in my closet
If you keep my heart on your mind.
Doesn't matter whose that is on your mantelpiece
As long as mine's your number one.
You're my kind of tragedy.
The last jagged piece to my puzzle.
Your love is for the kill but won't you save some for me?
Disaster is our theme song.
Let's play it loud and true.
Turn it up forever more.
Just for me and you.

And when the cops burst in
And when your crown falls down
I'll kiss you through those steel bars
I'll kiss you in hell
Don't forget my name when that day comes
I'm going to be with you
Won't let the world get in our way.
You're the queen of evil but I'm no angel.
I'll find a way to where you are,
One way or the other.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped to read this. This is like a sequel to my poem 'Won't You Stay Forever?' so if you haven't read that yet then I recommend that you do. I hope you like it :)

Apparently crazy is contagious... Can you say Stockholm syndrome. Nicely done. I like how it was in the captures point of view this time.

This is now one of my favourite poems :D despite not having a continuous rhythm or rhyme scheme, it flows nicely and the language used was beautiful. I love this poem so much!

This is a very interesting poem. My favorite line: 'It's ironic at best, and stupid at worst'. I'm a horror writer and love the horror in it. I enjoyed this piece. Very well written!

Wow ^_^ The title drew me straight away, so I knew I HAD to read this. This. Was. Awesome ^_^ I heard of that type of "dangerous" love before, but I had never read a poem about it. Pardon my language, but that was bloody brilliant _^^

Wow I think this guy got something like stockholms syndrome...
Or love
Both are pretty crazy lol
I liked the style of this, these two seemed to be err perfect for each other I guess, in a weird kind of way- partners in crime to the gates of hell lol. I for one thought chasing the dawn with stolen trucks was a very romantic and touching line (even though stealing is oh so wrong!) but it just sounded like idk
Heart-felt, I guess heh
Well done! Well done! :D

This is interesting, although not something that I would usually read. The flow is, to me, quite erratic; disjointed lines or pairs of lines that form an overall theme but not a coherent flow. In this case, that works well, giving the impression that the narrator is a little unhinged. Good use of vocabulary and some lines are very catchy.

Wow. This was just... Wow. I have no words to say, but holy cow this was tragically beautiful. The detail, the imagery, the flow of the poem. It wasn't just a poem, but a story as well. I'll have to say that my favorite stanza was the third one. Don't know why, but it was. The ending was amazing as well. Great job, love. ?
