Back at the Royal Palace, outward appearances showed that everything was running as normal, however behind the scenes, Ali's cousin was overseeing the loading of the trucks that Ali had ordered filled with urgent supplies, fueled ready to go at his call.
Four trucks in total loaded with water, food, medical supplies, clothing and teaching supplies for the children of the villages had been readied.
Ali had ordered his cousin to prepare the most trusted of his remaining personal guards that were still at the palace, and to dress in black, arm and ready themselves, awaiting his call.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ali paced back and forth in his bedchamber, Khali watching him wear a path in the floor rugs.
"Sire, are you sure you want to do this? your men are well trained, I am sure they they can complete this task without you there."
"I am sure old friend, I need to see this through for myself. My people need help more than ever before. If we do not get provisions to them soon, I do not want to think of what will happen to them. It will be fine, you shall see Khali."
The look on Ali's face however did not fill him with confidence.

Ali had made the call to his cousin that morning, and knew that within the next hour, the trucks would reach the outskirts to the village, and would be hidden within the rocky outpass awaiting midnight where Ali would take a handful of his personal guard, robed in black and in the stealth of the new moon darkness, they would meet the trucks and set off for the outland villages to deliver the supplies.
Khali sat looking at his feet, deep stress lines etching his forehead as he could not stop the sinking feeling in his stomach. "Kaneef's men are acting very unusual tonight sire. I was speaking to one of his kitchen staff who said that there had been orders to prepare parcels of food for his men, ready for tonight. It appears that they are preparing for something. Are you certain that noone has leaked word that you are sending another fleet of trucks again sire?"
"No Khali, noone knows of the call barr my advisor, you and I, and my cousin and men at the palace. I have given instructions to all that this must be kept in strict confidence."
"Very well Sire, if you will excuse me then, I shall go and make sure the provisions for your men are ready, and that they are robed and ready to go." Khali started to walk away, when Ali stopped him.
"Make sure they are fully covered, faces included. Noone must be able to identify any of them Khali. But do not worry Khali, Kaneef's men are probalby only running extra security patrols due to the ministers being here as well."
"Of course sire, I am sure you are right. I will personally check on each and every one of your men" then he walked away toward the kitchen, not noticing the shadow that was lurking behind a marble pillar near their door.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sarah had not meant to eavesdrop, she had only been meaning to come and see if the Sheikh or Khali needed anything before she went to bed herself, but upon nearing the door, she had heard every single word, and it chilled her to the bone.
Without thinking it through properly, Sarah rushed to the guards sleeping quarters, peering around corners as she went, until she saw the huddle of men that were presently dressing in black pants, shirts and boots, then putting on black robes and head wraps over the top.
As the men started to file into the next room where they started to pack their backpacks, Sarah snuck around the corner, and picked up a few peices of left over clothing, before sneaking back into an empty room and dressing.
She went through several pants and shirts till she found a set that didnt hang onto the ground on her, even though they were still to big, she just tied her belt tighter, and prayed they would not fall down before slipping on the smallest pair of boots that remained, stuffing extra socks into the toe to take up the extra room.

Gingerly stepping out of the room, she quickly walked back into the first room where the men had dressed, and she picked up a robe, quickly putting it on before wrapping a headwrap around her face.
She peered around the corner into the room where the men were still packing their backpacks, and picking up a spare, before silently stepping amongst them, glad that they were too involved in their task to notice her. Sarah joined them as she also picked up several bottles of water, and a couple of packs of food, stashing them into the backpack, her nerves making her shake like a leaf. "What am I doing here?" she asked herself over and over again. "I must be truley insane!."
A few minutes later, Khali walked in, and the men all stood, and lined up. Sarah jumping into the line with them trying to blend as best as she could. Khali then walked along the line, adjusting the head coverings a little on those who needed it, and saying a few words of encouragement to each man as he went.
As he came to the man next to Sarah, Khali patted him on his shoulders and said "You make your country proud today my friend, Go with Alah."
Then, Khali stepped in front of Sarah. Holding her breath, she could feel her heart beating so hard it felt like it would burst through her chest any second. Khali gave her clothing a brief glance, and frowned. He reached to adjust her head wrap, then looked into her eyes. That was the second that Sarah knew she had been caught out. Khali's eyes went wide, and his breath caught. He stilled for a few seconds, before clearing his throat, and continued to adjust her head covering. "Your clothing is a the wrong size, do you think you can manage with it?" Sarah nodded.
"Very good... you must make sure that your face is covered like this the whole time, noone must be able to identify any of you." Khali then rested his hand on Sarahs shoulder, and gave it a squeeze. "Are you sure you are ready for this?" Sarah hesitatantly nodded once more. "Go with Alah then little warrior, do not let our Sheikh out of your sight, he will need you tonight now more than ever."
Khali then walked on to the next guard, leaving Sarah breathless at the obviously private message behind his words, which proved only more that he knew who she was behind her coverings.
Once the men had all been inspected, and were ready to go, Khali led them out the back service entrance of the building, and toward the stables.
There the men waited for the Sheikh to join them. Khali readied another horse silently, while the men packed their small backpacks into the saddlebags. He then walked behind Sarah and leant toward her, whispering "This is Nala, she is the most gentle we have. She will not let you down."

He handed her the reins whilst taking her backpack, packing it away for her.
He then reached under his robe, taking out a dagger, and leaning down, tying its sheath to her calf, and tucking her pants over it. "Are you sure about this?" he whispered as he straightened.
Sarah nodded. Khali gave a deep sigh, and took her hands, squeezing them.
He then walked back toward the rest of the guards, speaking softly, but loud enough for them to all hear.
"Good luck my friends, and guard our Sheikh well, our people are counting on each and every one of you."

Seconds later, another robed figure appeared, stalking toward them silently. "Ready?" he asked the men. Sarah instantly recognising the voice as that of Ali, nodded with the men, and mounted up silently glad that she had a little riding experience. Joining the men, they quietly headed out of the compound and into the moonless blackened night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
As soon as they had gained enough distance from the compound to not be heard, Ali gave a whistle, and the men kicked into the flanks of their horses, sending them into a gallop. Nala instinctively joined the other horses, not needing Sarah's guidance to keep up.
For 20 minutes, they raced their horses across the desert, the hot dry wind whipping against their faces. Sarah clung onto Nala for dear life and after a while, she began to relax, and moved with the striding gait.
In the distance, Sarah could make out rocky mountains comming up fast, and heard Ali give two whistles, seeing him hold a hand up signalling them to stop.
All the guards pulled their mounts to a stop, and fell in behind Ali.
They walked their horses closer, and instead of heading straight into the outpass through the rocky path opening, they headed towards the right of it, where Ali dismounted, then signalled one one of the guards to follow. Sarah watched as Ali and the guard climbed the rocky rise, then she saw Ali pull out a pair of what appeared to be binoculars, but knowing that they could not possibly be able to see at night with them, she realised they must be night vision enhanced.
Ali and the guard slid back down the rise, before walking toward the rest of the men. "The trucks appear to be in order, I can see nothing out of the ordinary with them, but still, approach with caution" he warned them.
All the guards dismounted, and Sarah followed them as they tied their horses to the trees near the rise, and followed them as they silently passed through the outpass's entrance and toward the trucks.
They carefully made their way to the back of the trucks, and as they came closer, they could see a small fire, with 4 men sitting around it.

Ali turned to his men and said "It is clear" before he walked foward, toward one of the men who took him in his arms for a warm embrace.
"glad to see you made it safe cousin, things are worse than we thought in the villages, we must hurry to make it back unnoticed to the compound." "I will stay and watch the horses till you return, good luck Ali."
The men climbed into the trucks, and started them, setting the walkie talkies they carried with them all to the same channel, and testing them.
Sarah climbed into the same truck as Ali, who didnt even bother giving her as second look as he slid in beside her and buckled up.
They crept the trucks along slowly at first till they cleared the rocky path and onto the road where they picked up pace.
As they drove, they remained silent barr the check each truck called in with the walkie talkies each 10 minutes. After 40 minutes, when the check in came, the first and second trucks reported that all was normal. Ali confirmed that all was well with his third position truck, but when it came to the fourth truck, the driver reported that he was having engine trouble, overheating and needed to stop. Ali commanded that all the trucks stop.
Getting out of her truck after Ali, Sarah followed them back to the last truck, which by now had smoke billowing out from under the hood.
One of the guards pulled open the bonnet, and as they gathered around to have a look, one reached in, and pulled out a thin long object that was stuck in the radiator. It was a small crossbow arrow.
Ali swore under his breath, and ordered one of the men to get out the toolbox, from which he took out a can of metalweld spray, and did his best to cover the hole in the radiators side.
"We will need to take it slowly, re-filling the water that will still leak out every few miles. Bring this truck into the middle of the formation, and watch out for your......."
Ali never finished his sentence when a shrill wail errupted from the sand dunes either side of the road. Before Sarah could even look around, she was being pushed to the ground as a wave of bullets flew over her head and landed into the side of the truck.
Several of the guards lunged out of the way and ran for the cover of their own trucks. "Keep going, get the supplies through" Ali yelled after them, while he pulled his automatic gun out from under his robe and started to lay down a cover for the men running to the trucks. The first three trucks roared to life and sped away, spitting sand and pebbles up behind their wheels as they sped off.
Three of Ali's guards remained with him and the damaged truck, and gathered around Ali, forming a sheild around him as they fired at the attackers. Sarah still laying in the sand, slithered under the truck, and tried to make herself as small as possible so she was not seen. As she tried to focus her eyes in the dark, she felt around her ankle and took out her dagger, holding it to her chest as her blind terror took over, making her feel faint. "This is just a dream, this is just a dream" she told her self over and over as she watched Ali's guard taking down several of the attackers, her stomach churning as one landed not far from her, his eyes visible through his own head covering, staring up into the night sky, as a trickle of blood dripped down over what little face she could see beside his left eye.
Sarah battled the nausea down, and then before she could think it through properly, she crawled out from her spot, and reached out to the man, pulling on his robe to bring him closer. He was too heavy for her to move him with only her hands, so Sarah dug both feet in, and pulled with all her might managing to bring him a few inches closer to the truck.
As she straightened, Sarah pulled the belt off his robe, and drew it aside, revealing on of Kaneef's own personal guards uniforms.
Sarah waved her hands as Ali glanced over her way as he scanned their surrounds for more attackers, and noticed Sarah sitting there with the dead man. Having caught his gaze, Sarah pointed to his uniform, and saw Ali's eyes slit beneath his coverings, then nod at her.
He picked up his walkie talkie, and spoke rapidly in his native tongue into it, alerting his other men to whom they were facing Sarah thought.
Ali raised a hand, and motioned for Sarah to come to him, and knowing that she could not speak for fear of him recognising her, she swallowed the bile back down her throat, and on shakey legs, slithered as low to the ground as she could over by his side.
Two more of Kaneef's men rushed out of the darkness and started to attack the guards to Ali's back, leaving only one guard at Ali's side beside herself, and she could not even defend herself, let alone the Royal Sheikh of Barrauk!!.
A loud shot rang out, and Sarah saw the guard next to Ali slink to the ground. She grabbed his arm, rolling him over, but as she did, she saw the blood flowing quite freely out a small wound on his chest.
"Heart shot, there is nothing we can do" Ali told her as he leant over and picked up the dead guards gun.

Looking behind them, Sarah could see that one guard had taken out his attacker, and was now helping the other fight off the huge man who had him in a choker hold. No matter how hard Ali's man hit him in the face, the man would not let go of the man in his arms. Sarah jumped to her feet, and ran at Kaneef's man, raising her boot and kicking him square in his manhood with all her might.
A pained gurgle sounded off in the air, and Sarah even heard Ali swear as the giant tottered, let go of Ali's now lifeless guard, and dropped to the sand, holding his groin and rocking back and forth.
"Well done!!" Ali told her as he took out his knife, and bending down, quickly and cleanly sliced through the mans throat, effectively silencing his whimpers of pain.
Wiping the blade on his sleeve, he looked back at Sarah, who by now was holding her stomach as she could not tear her eyes off the blood soaking into the sand beneath the giants shoulders.
"After that kick, it was kinder to end his life" Ali told her as he stepped past her, then bent and checked on the guard had been strangled.
His shoulders slumping, his head dipped as he said quietly,"He is gone"
Sarah feeling close to fainting, staggered slightly away from the them toward the truck where she lent against it for support. As she turned back to look at the only remaining guard left and Ali, she felt a hand grab her around her neck from behind, as she was thrust back against a hard body. A knife was resting against the side of her neck and was biting in, sending a trikle of warm blood down her neck. Gasping, she tried to stay calm, and not move for fear of sending the knife through her jugular, but knew that this was it, she was going to die.
A second arm snaked around her chest and she was thrust harder against someone large, and hard.
She felt the body behind her stiffen as the arm across her chest felt around, cupping her left breast and squeezing. Sarah was frozen in panic, and try as she might, she could not get a sound out past her lips.
"A WOMAN??" the man holding her yelled.
Ali and his guard both reacted instantly, snapping their heads around facing her captor.
"I brought no women" Ali said in a calm voice, obviously trying to calm the captor so he did not jerk the knife.
"Oh no?, then what do you call these" he demanded as he took the knife away from her throat, and hooking it under the top of her robe, and sliced through it and her t-shirt, exposing her breasts in their thin lace white bra.
Ali gasped, then yelled out "NOO!!!!" as the guard next to him swore.
"Let her go, your fight is with me and my men, not a woman" Ali begged the man holding Sarah, but the man only chuckled, and grabbed onto her left breast again, giving it a painful squeeze, pinching her nipple and making her cry out in pain.
"I think we are going to have fun, this little woman and I, and unless you want me to tear her throat out, throw your guns away, and get down on your hands and knees."
Ali's guard looked at him, but Ali only nodded and said "do it".....
