"Jade! Look at this dorm room! It's amazing!" Joey screeched as she ran to the bed on the far left. "Dibbs!" She yelled and threw her pink bags on it.

I laughed, walking to the other bed and placing my two white bags on it. "No need to yell, Joey. I'm right here."

"Yeah yeah yeah." She mumbled and started to unpack. I did the same, putting my clothes in the dresser next to my bed. I didn't have a lot of clothes to unpack, but Joey did.

Joann (Joey) Mills has been my best friend since we were babies, and we have been inseparable ever since. If I went to the mall, she came with me. If I had problems, she would be the first person I would call. And since my dad sent me to Hart Academy, a boarding school in California, Joey had to come with me. So here we were.

Once I was done packing, I sat on my bed and waited patiently for Joey to be done. She kept talking, and talking, but I had no idea what she was saying. I just kept making, "Mhm" noises at least every two minutes so I wouldn't be caught.

"Gosh I'm starving." She groaned as she threw her empty suitcases to the side. "Let's go get some food from the cafeteria."

I nodded and grabbed some money out of my purse. Joey froze. "Dang. I forgot my money..." She trailed off, looking at me. I sighed, but nodded my head anyways. She squealed and hugged me. "Thank you! I'll pay you back!" And with that, she skipped out of the dorm. I giggled, shaking my head. She will never pay me back. But I don’t mind.

After we got our lunch, we sat at an empty table on the far right. I sighed as I noticed nearly everyone in the cafeteria was staring at us, the new freaks on campus. Joey noticed too, but unlike me, she did something about it.

"Hey!" She yelled and everyone went quiet, "Quit staring you creepers!" Everyone quickly looked away, scared of her. I laughed.

She shrugged, "What? They were annoying the freakin' crap out of me."

I giggled but stopped when I heard a booming laughter come from behind me. I slowly turned around to see a good looking boy with light blonde hair that was short and had bright blue eyes. He was about 6' with huge muscles. He was smiling a big grin and was staring right at Joey.

I sighed as I took a bite of my hamburger. Of course Joey would get guys following her on the first day we got here. She was gorgeous with her perfect hour-glass body that I would die to have, and her long blonde hair.

Even her personality was amazing. Even though she could be a bitch when she wanted to, she was the nicest person I have ever met in my life.

Hey.” Said the boy, “I'm Seth Wells.” He winked at her before flexing his huge muscles under his shirt. I muffled the giggle that wanted to burst through my lips with my hand.

Joey blushed and quickly looked down at her lunch tray, “Hi. I'm Joey.” She mumbled.

I could never understand how someone so beautiful would be so insecure when it comes to boys.

I'm Jade.” I said, making him look at me and not at Joey.

Hey, my friends and I were wondering if you wanted to join us for lunch.” Seth said, pointing at a table with about six boys waving at us.

Umm, no that's okay.” Joey said, standing up. “We were just leaving.” She started to walk past Seth but he stopped her.

But you didn't eat your lunch yet.” He pointed out, looking down at her. Joey was about 5'2, and only came up to about his shoulder.

I'm not hungry anymore, right Jade?” She turned to me, pleading with her eyes. I sighed pushing my tray away. I guess I won't be eating lunch today.

“Yeah. Right. Let's go.” I stood up, and shuffled past Seth who was still looking at Joey.

“Bye, it was nice to meet you Jade. You too Joey.” He said as he checked her out before winking at her once again and jogging over back to his friends.

Joey let out a breath, “God. What a pig.” We started to walk past Seth's table and he wolf whistled at her.

I laughed, throwing my head back letting my light brown hair fall back as Joey tried to make her 5'2 frame look bigger.

“You’re pathetic!” She yelled to him as his friends laughed.

Seth just laughed, “Only for you babe!” One of his friends said, “Dude, you just got owned.”

I stopped walking, looking at the boy next to Seth. No not a boy. A freaking god. He had light brown hair that looked like he just rolled out of bed, or just had sex. God I wanted to run my fingers through it so bad. He turned to look at me, and I gaped at him even more.

He had a strong chiseled jaw, and a perfect nose that I was jealous of. His bright green eyes pierced into my bright blue ones, before running over my 5'4 body. He quickly looked away, before talking to Seth.

I blushed red; he didn't like how I looked. I understand though, I’m just a normal girl with nothing special about her, and he was… perfect.

“Come on, Jade.” Joey said, pulling on my arm. I quickly snapped out of it realizing I froze right in front of the god’s table.

“Yeah, sorry,” I mumbled, walking quickly out of the cafeteria with Joey right behind me.

“He is so cute!” Joey squealed, bouncing up and down once we were outside.

“Who?” I asked quickly, getting defensive, thinking it was the god from Seth’s table.

She looked at me like I was crazy, “Seth,” She said slowly like she was talking to a kindergartner.

“Oh,” I said, feeling stupid. Of course it was Seth. “Well, why didn’t you want to have lunch with him then?”
Joey shrugged, looking down at her feet, “I don’t know. I-I… You know I can’t talk to boys, Jade.”

I rolled my eyes before stopping her from walking by putting my arms on her shoulders. “Yes, I do know. And I have no idea why. You are so beautiful, cute, and sexy.”

She scoffed, shrugging my arm off of her and walked into our dorm building, “Jade, you’re the perfect one. You’re tall, well, normal size, unlike me. I’m like a munchkin! Look at my legs, there stubby!” She stretched her short, muscled leg out in front of me making me trip, but I caught myself before I could fall.

“Thanks for that Joey,” I said sarcastically, wiping the dirt from the dorm floor off of my skinny jeans.

“Hey, are you okay?” A manly voice called out, making me gasp and spin around.
