Chapter Five

Blackout

“Hello Joseph,” I say.

“Uh, hey,” Joey says nervously.

“What do you want?” I ask.

“She’s been in an accident.” Joey sighs.

“What!?” I shout.

“She was in the car with Gabriel and they hit a tree.”

“I thought you were going to follow my directions exactly, this time!”

“I did… well I tried. But instead of just stealing the car, the guys just used it to mock them. In all honesty, it’s mostly Mick’s fault…”

“That’s enough,” I sigh through gritted teeth.

“I’m sorry sir!” he whines. “Maybe you should go visit her. She’s in a coma right now, and the doctors are worried she might not wake up.” He informs me.

“Why should I reveal myself when you’re the one who screwed up?”

“I’m sorry sir.” He sighs solemnly.

“Well don’t let me catch you slacking off again.” I hiss at the juvenile.

“Yes sir!” he nods, salutes, then flees the room.

Sigh. Why am I doing this? I pour myself a glass of fine wine, then grab my bottle of vodka and dump some of that in the glass. Then I proceed to drain the glass in one gulp.

“Timothy darling, are you coming to bed?” Lee Anna whispers in my ear. I examine the maid standing over me in her lingerie.

I smile to myself as I stand up. “Yes dear.”
