Atop a tall tree house
He starts to write,
Of his lavish brilliant life
In short sweet poems
He writes and writes,
In company of the birds
In company of the woodpecker
Who pecks on his tree
He writes and writes,
Dreaming, thinking & brooding
As his thoughts fly and scatter
Rapidly in all different directions
He writes and writes,
From noon to the sunset
And finally finishes his work,
When the sun is about to set
He then closes his book
And kisses his notebook
as takes it gently in his hand
He takes his pen
Places it in his pocket
& watches the road below
At last,
He climbs down the tree
Buries his notebook
In the rocks & sand under
& he takes a new book from his bag
& he walks on with his pen in hand
To continue his strange wondrous journey
To find other tree houses &
To find other tall trees..

Tue, November 29th, 2011 8:13amSo sweet!
I like the simplicity and the short storyline of this poem. But what I loved about it, was the circle you created. He starts off in a tree, and moves on to another. And of course, as always, I enjoyed the most vivid descriptions.
Thanks for letting me know. Keep up the good work.
I love this poem.
It shows the simplicity and the contentment of the "character". Good job!
This is very good :)
Tue, November 29th, 2011 10:38amOn the road again... A hunter with fire in his eyes and the thirst for adventure ravishing his mind. Nice one. Here comes the beautiful imperfection. Maybe you should try other synonyms for notebook. I saw it repeated over and over again. You could use parchment, scroll, etc, you know. Make it really adventurous.
Tue, November 29th, 2011 11:52amI feel as if on some level you're writting about yourself too, because it seems like you put your heart in your poems like the man in this poem.
Very good. Thank you for the invite :)
Hi nid,
Very interesting.
The picture you paint is easily seen and even more importantly, felt.
I like the neverending quality to this (like life).
:D
Yup, yup, yip. That's just how it lives, isn't it Nid? One notebook at a time, one day at a time, trillions and mega-millions of thoughts, and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of writing.
Kind regards, Wilbur
Wow this is truly a beautiful poem
Wed, November 30th, 2011 2:17amdone reading this! it's a nice piece and i like it :)
Wed, November 30th, 2011 10:40amThanks for dropping the request, this is a beautiful poem. The imagery was so simply descried but at the same time beautifully vivid. I also loved you description of his writing process; the phases he experienced are so true for almost every write (me included) however, I found the end of the poem enigmatic; he seemed to put so much of himself into the work but he left it behind. Did you intended to symbolize a specific theme or idea? Overall, excellent poem Nid :) I really did enjoy reading??

the writer here enjoys the whole process of writing..he has lost himself in writing, to say so..he is not writing it for the people..he is not wanting anyone to read his writing..he is writing for the joy of writing alone..the writer is an introvert lost in his own thoughts, emotions and feelings..he is a loner but he is a true writer..he leaves his notebook behind at the end and continues his great journey to discover himself through the process of writing..he is on the path to becoming a great writer..

Thu, December 1st, 2011 6:00pmHi =) I really liked this poem, and you repetition in particular. I also like that you DIDN'T rhyme: it would be too cheesy if you did. Fantastic job!
This is really well written. The imagery you create is so vivid and well seen in the readers mind. I love how it tells a story, too. How he goes to one tree one day and the next a new one. Awesome job!
Sat, December 3rd, 2011 2:19pmVery nice VERY!I can't find the meanings easily so thanx also for Maij for asking and everything coz (ahem:I being annoying ahem ahem). As always not just writting a poem but also getting a great lesson for us nid.Give yourself a gredit.Yeah, these days people feel as if their art (whatever that is) is not worthy if it's not shown to others-and I don't leave myself out of this poor thinking. We all want to make a history, live our name somewhere to not extcinct withought ever walking on earth.I think that's why.
I bow to those who do it only for their love for it or because they truly want to make a change and not just draw attention above themseles.Great work Nid.Let me know for anything new.
I really like it! It has a mysterious tone to it, and causes you to imagine what the man is doing :D let me know if you have other work you would like me to read. And if you have time, I would appreciate you having a look at me novel, "Dragon Escape". Thanks!!!! -star
