I tried to keep up with the pace of my four friends while they stampeded across the crowd filled New York streets. We all were traveling to a legendary diner that one of my friends, Mikey's, father owned. Right when I caught up with them, they had already entered the diner and got their free coffee. I entered in and sat down in the seat they had saved for me.

"Have to be alot faster than that Argus if you want to catch up with us." Mikey told me while he sipped his coffee. A waitress nicely laid a cup of coffee in front of me and walked over to other customers. "Anyway," I started. "isn't nice we graduated, how about the next round of drinks should be on me." I lifted up my cup, hoping everyone would follow.

My hopes came true and we all raised our cups and lightly tapped our cups together without burning our hands clean off. I took a sip of the nice rich, dark coffee. The tastes exploded into my throat and you don't taste the bitterness of regular coffee, but a mixture of like sweet dreams and heaven.

"So, Sarah and Mia," I started. "What college you going to after this little celebration," Sarah drank a sip of her coffee and then said, "I'm thinking Georgetown." "And you Mia?" "I probably am going to community. I just can't afford the high price of those big name colleges." She said.

I checked my watch and saw the time was twelve o' clock. "Wow, it is getting late. I need to get back to my apartment." I told everybody. "No, don't go Argus. How about we all have one nice cup of beer," Mikey said. "They serve beer here?" I asked. The sound of hope stained my words while they came out. "Yeah, my old man is the only diner in New York to serve beer in his diner."

Sarah got up and pointed her index finger outside of the diner. "Look guys." She said. I looked outside and saw a group of people from the army racing across the streets running with AK-47s. I heard one of them fire. "Pa! Give me the keys!" Mikey yelled. His father came out of his office in the diner and held his keys. "What do you need them for," He asked.

"It looks like something is about to happen and I need to lock the door." Mikey said in the probably calmest voice I ever heard. "Fine, here you go." He passed him the one key and Mikey ran to the door. He turned the key in the lock to the right and the lock made a click. A man in the diner walked up to Mikey's father and asked him, "Hey, what's going on!? I have to get home!"

Mikey's father pointed at Mikey, indicating that he was the one that had created this mishap. I looked back outside and saw a Humvee drive in the car filled streets. A man was sticking from the top with a machine gun attached to the car for him to use.

Then, everything went dark.
