Ryan is a seventeen year old pianist who now lives with his wealthy aunt and manipulative sister after his parents die in a car crash. He looks to be the ideal child but behind closed doors he is a seditious and wreck less party animal that always seems to get in trouble. Desperate for answers, his Aunt looks for a way to strip away the privileged lifestyle and force him to stop thinking about himself.
Catherine is the bashful and withdrawn outsider who is struggling to get into a decent college. With her father being an alcoholic and her mother never being home, she feels alone and not wanted. Instead of hanging out with the gang, she spends his time at foster homes and homeless shelters caring for the less fortunate. Cat finally decides it’s time she does something for herself.
Both of their lives unexpectedly cross paths when Cat attends the Performing Arts Academy, hoping to finally find something that she can all her own and Ryan hoping to find something more than partying and worth living for. Together they discover the importance of family, friends, and each other.
