The stage in a teenagers life where they learn to let go.
Could be seen as depressing in the way a child is willing to take there own life to leave their troubles behind, or a more positive view of not caring what others say or think about them. That part of their life is dead now.
I'll leave you to make up your mind about it.

I’ll Sleep Forever

I’ll sleep forever

Letting the world do what it does,

Leaving the rumours and lies

My body a cold stone statue

Like the hearts of so many people

Having tried so hard

And made no difference

I’ll sleep forever

Unlike the world I’ll be at peace

I’ll meet with people I have loved

And watch over people I love

I’ll sleep forever

And dream happy dreams

Well written. Interesting presentation as well. Gave it a "5". So you may see what others may think.

We can all accomplish the same thing. In installments.
By taking naps. As many as time will allow.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.

This is a beautiful poem. I personally can relate to this because i'm going through a similar situation and have a few problems. Sometimes one wishes to just leave everything and go away but the cruel bonds of life won't allow that. Brilliant.

so beautiful a thought 'to be with the people I have loved and to watch over people I love' although the watching over would be constant because those here would be heart broken. Death would be a beautiful thing if everyone realized that's just it--there's no such thing as death. So many of us want to 'go home' so to speak (to Heaven) and well who can blame them?
what has helped me is to learn to see everything in a different light, the meaning in everything, to bring Heaven to earth, since it is here anyway-- we just can't always see it. ---very nice write--thankyou for sharing--:)
