Its a romance poem to my wife

Blindness

I thought I knew what to feel

I thought I knew always what to do

I walked through your heart in blindness

Blind over the kindness you showed

Blind when you pulled me from my pain

Blind when I drank you away

Blind when you screamed for me to wake up

Blind when I walked away that Saturday

Blind that you might leave and not comeback

When you took your heart you opened my eyes

Open to the love I squandered

Open to the person you were

Open to the man I need to be

Open to the man you deserve

Open to the romance you so deserve

Open to the hope you may return

My heart and eyes are open I wish you back with every breath I take

Thank you for the kind words I guess sometimes the heart is predictable.
