“Good job, Ash!” his father exclaimed. He had just preformed a well executed parry and had found a chink in his father, Cornelius’s, armor. They were both standing there, swords draw, but for once it was Cornelius with the small gash in his arm. Both of them were smart enough to damage the other without actually impairing the other, that way they could train together. Quite suddenly, Cornelius jumped, and Ash turned around to reveal his well plated back scales as a volley of blunt-tipped arrows hurled at them.
“Ice,” Ash yelled at where the arrows came from, “ It isn’t your turn!”
“ Hey, you need all kinds to fight a war!” a tall red haired, blue scaled dragon stepped from outside a bush. She was not in her armor, she was wearing her best dress, like she was going to go to town.
“ Any particular reason you’re all dolled up?” she even had her scales polished.
“If you must know, I’m going to go purchase a new dress,”
“So you wear your best dress to buy a new dress? Isn’t that incredibly redundant?”
“Only when you’re around.” Anyone with a sister knows that arguing like that is just how siblings show their affection.
“Well, you might as well get into comfortable clothes, because you aren’t going anywhere. I need to go to the council, so you two need to stay here.”
