Letting go doesn't mean giving up... it means moving on. It is one of the hardest things a person can do. Starting at birth, we grasp on to anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. We feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. But as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. We are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. It means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so.
"I knew you could do it" Ronnie told me as we were in her kitchen, luckily I was on my own feet.
"I didn't want to go to his funeral in a wheelchair" I said shrugging as she nodding in agreement "Where's Raymond?".
"In his room like always" said Ronnie "Whenever I go to talk to him he's just sitting on his bed quietly".
"That's strange" I said a she nodded.
"Even weirder, he's reading a book" said Ronnie as I chuckled "I'm serious, whenever I enter the room he's reading a little black book and every time I walk in he shuts it right away".
"Wow…That's weird" I said getting suspicious as she nodded while Raymond walked in the kitchen than looked at me surprised.
"I didn't know you were here" said Raymond as I shrugged.
"Wanted to celebrate her feet" said Ronnie as Raymond nodded.
"I wanted to talk to you" said Raymond looking at me than looking down at the floor nervously as me and Ronnie looked at each other confused.
"I'm going upstairs" said Ronnie before walking out the kitchen as I walked closer to Raymond and lift his chin up.
"What is it?" I asked trying to read his face details but I couldn't…Raymond seemed a lot different than usual.
"I need you to know something" he said pulling his strength.
"Are you ok?" I asked concerned holding his head between my hands.
"I love you Summer, ok?" he said in assurance as I felt an electricity jolt rush through my entire body than a rush of guilt covered me for this was the time I was supposed to be in grief over Landon but I was in adrenaline rush because of Raymond "And I know a lot of crap happened to you, I have no idea how to help you cause nothing like this ever happened to me but I promise you….I'll make you forget".
"Raymond?" I said letting go of his head.
"What is it?" he asked .
"I love you too" I said in a whisper "More than you think, more than you'll ever know but…I'm never gonna forget, Raymond"
"You can't keep living in your past" he said as I nodded.
"Just give me some time" I said shrugging as I felt my eyes water.
"I'm gonna be there for you wither you like it or not" said Raymond as a smile crept on my face.
"No one asked you to leave" I said in a whisper as he smiled.

I tip toed quietly in Raymond's room than noticed I didn't have to, it's not like I was robbing a bank or something, I was just going to take a look at the suspicious black book.
I looked around the room and I found it on the night stand. I smirked and quickly rushed to it than opened it slowly and got surprised it was in hand writing and there was a date.
24th of August, 2005
I know I'm too young to keep a diary since nothing interesting ever happens to me but today something did, I had to write about it or my head would've exploded. I'm not sure if writing a diary will be a habit but for now, I'll just write.
I thought it'd be a normal day when I'll go to Summer's house and we'll play and than get in a stupid fight than become rivals for the rest of the day but when I went to there house today something strange happened. Nora told me that Summer was in the hospital because she fainted. I didn't understand until I went home and asked my mum than she explained to me how people can faint from the stress. But what was Summer stressed from? She was only 10 years old, than again 10 years old equals a decade which makes her a big number I guess.
When I went to visit her after she woke up she looked really scared, I don't blame her for being scared, fainting is close to dying.
I wonder if this will happen to us more.
It took me a while to realize whose diaries were these but than I figured…It was Landon's. Raymond had Landon's diaries and he never told us.

"Life is a gift of god and now that he wants it back, we have no right to complain" said the priest in the funeral. It was an outside funeral besides soon to be Landon's grave "there are two sides to the phenomenon known as death, this side where we live, and the other side where we shall continue to live. Eternity does not start with death. We are in eternity now. There is no tragedy like loosing a child…."
I stopped listening to him as I remembered Landon's parents and glanced at her in the front seat. I remembered the way she was looking at me in the hospital and the way she was treating me. I didn't pay attention to it at that moment because I was too distracted by Landon but now…I was suspicious.
"We're very sorry for your loss" my mum told Landon's mother later that day as the guests were in their house. I was standing by my mother while Landon's mother gave me uncomfortable looks.
"I'm really sorry" I told her breaking the awkward silence.
"Landon was a good kid…He didn't deserve to die" said his mother giving me a strange look before walking away.
"What was that?" I asked my mum confused.
"She just lost a child, Summer" said mum "Don't judge her, that is the worst thing that could happen to a mother".
"Summer" called Ronnie walking to me "Hi Mrs. Russo".
"Hey Ronnie" said my mum smiling at her "I'll leave the both of you alone".
My mum walked away and Ronnie sighed in relief.
"I need to tell you something" she said pulling a black back from her purse as I raised an eyebrow.
"What's that? Tom Riddle's diaries?" I mocked as she shook her head.
"The book that Raymond was reading" said Ronnie "That happens to be Landon's diaries".
