I awoke what seemed like several hours later. But, when I looked at my watch only ten minutes had passed. I looked around the room and noticed that it looked very different from when I had fallen asleep. In the corner sat a box with a computer company logo on it. This seemed odd, since that company had only been around for the past ten years.

On the wall, I saw a calendar showing September 2012. I jumped to my feet and went to the door. I listened closely for any noises, but heard nothing. I opened the door and I was standing inside of the hospital president’s office. I was most definitely back in my own time. It then occurred to me that I had to have been sleepwalking.

I made my way out into the hall and headed toward the elevators. On my way, I again passed the pictures of Mr. March and Mr. Smithton. This time, the pictures both had stern looks on their faces. I again felt an odd feeling as if they were staring at me. It appears that the eyes in both of the pictures were following me. I ignored this feeling and continued to the elevators.

I grabbed the equipment that I was taking downstairs, sitting exactly where I’d left it before I blacked out. I loaded everything onto the elevator and made my way to the second floor. I quickly cleaned up my equipment and finished a couple of minor duties I had on my project list for the evening.

At 6am, I clocked out and went home. I couldn’t get the thoughts my sleepwalking episode out of my head. It all seemed so real. I knew that it was all in my head, but that was the first time in my life that I could honestly not place how I’d gotten from one place to another.

I arrived home, cleaned up, and made my way to bed. I needed to get to sleep, and to get my mind off of the previous night’s events.I went to my bed and laid there for what seemed like days, but was finally able to get to sleep.

---------------------------------------------------------

I finally awoke around 7pm to my phone ringing. It was my boss, who asked if I could come in early to cover a couple hours for someone who had called in sick. I obliged.

I got to work around 8pm and was told that my main project of the night was to wax the floors in the president’s office, and to pay special attention to his ‘apartment room’. Wow.

So, I got my stuff together, the whole time feeling extremely odd about this whole ordeal. At about 8:30, I made my way up to the third floor. Again, I was faced with the pictures of Mr. Smithton and Mr. March, and again I had that odd feeling that they were watching me.

I laughed it off and walked right past them. I arrived at the president’s office and quickly got to work. At about midnight, I was finished with his main office. It was time to work on his ‘apartment room’, which was used for when he stayed late working on various hospital related things.

I got into the room and began moving furniture that would be in my way. When I was finished, I began feeling sluggish. I decided to sit in one of the chairs that I had moved to take a load off for a minute or two. Darkness.
