Chapter 1.

On a clear sunny day in Rolla, at a suburban house in a shaded tree-line neighborhood, Delia Mayfield was getting ready to be a foster mother to a shy orphan little boy, she was getting his bedroom ready, while outside of her house, a silver car was driving down the street toward Delia's house, and stopped in front of Delia's house, a social worker was driving the car, with a shy orphan little boy was sitting in the front seat, he was holding tightly to his teddy bear, until he looked at the house, he looked back at the social worker.

"Don't worry, this one won't be as mean as the last one", The Social worker said as she got out of the car, she went around the car and opened the passenger-side car door.

the shy orphan little boy got out of the car, he picked-up his suitcase, the social worker took him toward the front porch, Delia met them at the front porch, she thanked the social worker, and the social worker left.

"Hi, Honey", Delia said as she looked at the shy orphan little boy.

"Hi", the shy orphan little boy replied softly.

"What's your name and how old are you, sweetie?", Delia asked as they went inside the house.

"I'm Barry and I'm 3-years-old", the shy orphan little boy answered as he held his teddy bear tighter.

"is that your teddy bear, barry?", Delia asked as they went up-stairs.

"Yeah, it's the only thing i have that my Mommy gave to me, before she passed away", Barry answered as he looked-up at Delia.

"Oh, do you miss her?", Delia asked as they walked down the hallway.

"Yeah", Barry answered as he hugged his teddy bear.

"what about your father?", Delia asked.

"he didn't even want me, that's why he gave me up, he left with his new family", Barry answered.

"Oh, I see, Here's your new bedroom, Barry", Delia said as she opened the door to barry's bedroom.

Barry looked around his new bedroom, he started smiling.

"Barry, what's your teddy bear's name?", Delia asked.

"Mr. Bearington", Barry answered.

"I think Mr. Bearington would be more happyier if he would sit on your new bed?", Delia asked.

"Ok", Barry answered.

Barry put his teddy bear on top of his new bed, Delia let him unpack his clothes, after he was done, barry went out of his new bedroom, down the hallway, down the stairs, and into the living room, until Delia saw him.

"Hi, barry, why don't you sit here by me?", Delia asked.

"Ok", Barry answered.

barry toddled over toward Delia, sat down beside her, Delia started looking at him with her loving eyes.

"Barry, do you miss your mommy?", Delia asked.

"uh-hu", Barry answered.

"Barry, what do you miss most about her?", Delia asked.

"I miss when my mommy and i used to play together, we used to play hide and seek", Barry answered.

"Oh, i see", Delia said.

Delia and Barry ate dinner, and went to bed.
