Title: The Room of Things Unseen

Type: Random thing to add to a book or short story....

Genre: Adventure, I'd guess.

Outline: There will be a room  in which are all the things that nobody is looking at, at each particular moment. IE: since I am looking at the computer and not at the plate on the wall behind me (yes, there is a plate on my wall...) that plate would appear in the Room of Things Unseen and the computer would not. Then, when I turn around, the computer would appear in this magical room and the plate would disappear from the magical room. Therefore: an object can only be one place at a time, but that place is not always where you expect it to be. The room would be kind of like a warehouse, full of cubbyholes so that nothing is cross-contaminated.

This idea was inspired by the idea of Quantum Physics, which says that whenever we are not looking, all objects are in every place at a time except for where we ARE looking. According to the book How to Teach Physics to Your Dog, it is like saying that:

I put a dog treat in a box, close the box and pull out another box that is exactly the same. The boxes are perfectly sealed so you can't smell the treat at all, sound proof so you can't hear it, and altogether you cannot measure from the outside which box the treat is in. Our logic says that the treat is in the box I put it in, but Quantum Physics suggests that the treat is in BOTH boxes simultaneously UNTIL I open a box and either find it or I don't. Does that make sense? Of course not. Basically, whenever you turn your back, everything you saw there is now EVERYWHERE except the places that anyone is looking.

It's very odd. Sort of like a conspiracy theory...

Don't look now, but the electrons are collaborating against us.
