I was surrounded by darkness. No one else was around. Suddenly, I see a giant fireball falling out of the air towards me.

Oh great, I thought. My father was killed, I set on freaking fire, I kill a man, I get knocked out, I am locked into a damn cell, and now I have to deal with this. This just gets better and better.

The fireball crashed onto the ground in an explosion of orange and gold flames and glowing embers. A ring of fire, about eighty feet in diameter surrounded me. The flames were high and intense. There was a low growling sound echoing in the air. I looked up and saw none other than the dragon from my dream not to long ago.

He looked more magnificent than he had when I first saw him. He must've been at least one hundred and eighty feet long. His scales were a glittering blackish red. His underbelly was pale gold, like the desert sand. His eyes were the same acid green that I had seen originally. On the back of his head was a pair or black, straight horns. He walked on four legs, his front talons had five toes while the back ones had four. His wings were massive for a creature his size.

But even though he was a sight to witness, I still saw him as a threat.

"What do you want from me!" I cried. The dragon simply looked down at me, his chest up.

"I wish nothing of you, Ryu-za
Zuliki," he said calmly, "except to listen to me."

I grew tense, but I listened to the winged, giant reptile.

"You have fallen into a predicament that is not your burden alone," the dragon continued. "There are others like you that have a similar fate waiting for them. You see, Ryu-za, you were born with a gift that has been passed down from generation to generation."

"Yeah?" I said. "And what's that?"

"You can use
magicke," the dragon replied.

I felt completely whipped.
I could use magicke? That made no sense.

"That's impossible," I said.

The dragon chuckled. "Oh, do you think so?
Well how do you explain you lighting on fire? How do explain burning a man to death? How do you even explain how you can see me?"

I tried to snap at the dragon, but the reality sank in before I could. He had a point. There was really only one way to explain all of this:
magicke.

"Face the truth, Ryu-za," the dragon said in a voice like leaves in the wind. "You have
magickal blood in your veins. And it's all connected to that necklace that you wear."

I clutched the eye of the amulet. My father had told me that it possessed
power far greater than the world had ever know. I didn't believe him, but now...

"You can use the amulet to absorb any source of heat around you, which you can turn into the fire you can wield. However, if you absorb too much fire, the consequences will be severe."

I felt a heavy weight on my shoulders and a sudden moment of panic. What did he mean by consequences?

"Don't be afraid of your gift, Ryu-za. Embrace it. You are destined for greatness. I can see the very future. And what I have seen tells a good story, indeed. Let me show you what I mean."

The dragon took a deep breath and breathed a plume of flame. The
fire ball drifted towards me. A moving image was displayed on it. It was of me and... a woman.

But not the one from the photos. This one was different. She had pale, pale skin. Her eyes were a glittering sapphire blue. Her hair was black, like mine, but it reached her waist, and it was straight. Her hips were wide, her legs were long, and her breasts were large.

We lied on a bed in white sheets. Our lips were pressed against each other in a powerful kiss. My arms wrapped around her as she buried her fingers into my hair. I tilted my head downwards so our lips met fully.

I held her so close to me that our bodies pressed together. I heard her moan silently as my lips pull away from hers. I
pecked her throat and the nape of her neck, making her giggle.

She took my shirt off. And I did the same. Our lips crashed into each other. I had never seen a love so desperate and so... beautiful. When I saw myself kissing her, it was like I could feel her now.

I watched as our tongues pressed and slammed into each other.

Boy, I thought. If only the guys were here. This would flip their shit.

My future
self pulled away from the woman.

"I love you,
Teresa" I said with a smile on my face. It was a smile I thought I would ever see again, not after my mother had died.

Teresa? I thought. That's her name? Teresa?

The woman--I mean, Teresa-- smiled, her beautiful eyes glistening. "I love you too," she said. She crashed her lips against mine once again, straddling her long legs around my
hips..

The plume of fire disappeared in a show of embers. I didn't realize that tears were forming in my eyes and were rolling down my face until after the vision. I quickly wipe them away.

I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed: I had just saw my future. And in the future, I fall in love with that woman.

"It's a lot to take in, Ryu-za," the dragon said, lowering his long snout so it was leveled with my face. "But it's all true. Do you understand now?"

I nodded.

"Very well. I must leave now. We will see each other soon again. I can teach you how to control your powers, but it will take some time and effort. Farewell." The dragon turned and slithered away. But before he was gone, I called out to him.

"What's your name?" I asked. The dragon stopped and craned his neck, so he looked back at me.

He smiled at me, a long, forked tongue flicked from his mouth. "That, Ryu-za
Zuliki, is something you must learn on your own," The dragon replied.

I woke up in the cell that I had been thrown into they day I was kidnapped by those men in the black suits. It was
cubed-shaped and made of metal. It was dark, and it only opened when a guar drops food inside. Too bad they had no toilets, then I'd be right at home.

I then noticed for the last few days that the food would be brought down was consistent. If I could just find a way to climb out, I might be home free.

I knew that in just five minutes, the guard would come and drop some food in. I don't know why, but for some reason, I crouched down, like a cat about to pounce. I felt a surge of energy rush through my legs the longer I stayed at that pose.

The minutes ticked by slowly in my head. Finally, the door above me opened.

Now! I thought.

I jumped right into the air and then-pop!-right out of the cage. I slammed my fist into the
guards face, knocking him onto the floor. He tried to get up, but I got on top of him and grasped his throat in a choke hold. I pressed my thumbs hard into his throat. He struggled slower by the second until he stopped moving altogether. I let go of the guard and stood up.

I had killed a second time, but it didn't bother me; I was free from that wretched cell! Now I just needed to get out of the building. I stood in on some kind of platform. On each side, there was a walkway.

I looked at each one. Which one did I need to use to get out?

I look around again at each
walk way and I take the middle one. I silently crept down the path. At the exit there were three guards, armed with massive, black guns loaded with grenades of some sort. They wore black, fire proof vests.

I slowly crept up on them and crouched; it looked like I was going to have to fight my way out.

I jumped on one of the guards. She falls to the ground, her weapon fall. The other two guards advance towards me. I quickly rush over to the gun and grasp it. I aim it at the guard on the left and fire. The grenade shot out and exploded on the
mans chest, sending crackling electricity all over him. He falls to the floor completely motionless--except for his chest.

I shoot the other two guards down with the gun. They lie on the ground, clearly knocked out cold. I look at the gun, laugh, and kiss it.

I'm keeping you, I thought. I quickly took some ammunition from the other guns, load it up, put the extras in my pockets, and strapped the gun on my shoulder. I held it with both hands.

I slowly left the scene. I felt pretty damn lucky with a fucking electric grenade-firing gun in my hands. I made my way down the long hallways, ready for anything that came my way. I kept my eyes
pealed for any sign of movement.

Suddenly I heard it: the sound of someone screaming. A woman screaming.

I ran towards the direction of the anguished cry, my legs pumping at full speed.

I eventually found where the scream had come
from: a woman--about my age, laid on her stomach on the floor, motionless.

I ran up to her, lowering my gun to my side.

I kneel and flip her onto her back. I moved the hair off of her face. I nearly gasped at what I saw.

It was her.

It was Teresa.

I wave of worry and panic struck. I pressed two fingers against her neck, searching for a pulse.

I find it as soon as my fingers touch it. I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.

She was alive.

I then noticed something that I didn't realize what it was until a saw it.

It was a dragon eye amulet, just like the one I wore, only this one was a fiery blue.

Is she capable of using
magicke too? I thought.

I didn't have time to think about that. I had to get her--and myself--out of there. So, I lifted her up in my arms and hung her on my shoulder. I then turned around. Without another thought, I started to run.

Well, at least one thought came into my head.

Don't worry,
Teresa, was the thought. I will help you. I'm going to get you out of here. You'll see.
