Chapter15- Leah Clearwater
Lucky number 15 Jessie my lovely! This chapter is dedicated to Jessie, or as you may know her twilightandsoftballfan15. She became my friend and a dedicated reader before even joining Booksie officially which is beyond awesome. Not only has she been an amazing friend but she’s given brilliant feedback. Her writing is just as great as her personality. Jessie I love you, thank you so much for being such an awesome person! You make my day with every comment. I'm lucky to have met you.
Kyle ran out of the house shuddering with the tremors vibrating through him. Jake followed him shouting.
“Kyle what is it man?!” he yelled.
Kyle ignored him, darting into the woods. I looked wildly over at Jake.
“Leah I don’t-”
I ignored him. I ran after Kyle, not even stopping when my lace came loose and I lost a trainer somewhere along the way. I could see Kyle’s figure up ahead but he’d gotten a good head start and I needed him to hesitate if I was going to catch up.
“Kyle wait up would you!” I cried as I felt my other trainer begin to loosen.
It looked like I’d be waiting on that moment of hesitation for a while. His feet pounded against the ground so hard that birds flew off, alarmed. He must have realised that eventually he’d come to the cliff. I mean he did used to live in La Push and all of the guys go cliff diving. They all feel the need to prove themselves.
“Kyle the cliff’s up ahead you’ll have to stop eventually,” I called.
He continued running and I soon realised what he was going to do. I watched as he came to the cliff and paused at the rocky edge. I took the chance to catch up but I waited in the shade of the trees for him to dive. He was breathing hard and running his hands through his hair like his head was pounding as hard as his feet had.
