Alec's POV

I could feel her breathing deepen and I knew she had fallen asleep. I picked her up bridal style and carefully walked out of the room and up the stairs. Spiral stairs, of course. I know I probably brag about my house to much, but what can I say? I've only got it for a short time, I might as well brag.

I carried Fyre to her room and carefully placed her on her bed. She immediately curled herself into a mock fetal position. She looked so broken. I still don't understand what happened tonight.

I was sitting in the living room, sipping my water, when I heard the playing. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't perfect. There were a few wrong notes, but even a fool could hear the emotion in her playing. It was so deep. I really don't know how else to put it. I came to tell her how amazing her playing was, when she turned around and I saw her face. It was streaked with tears and she looked so hurt and betrayed.

Somehow, I had to heal her.

Fyre's POV

When I woke up, I was in a a plain white room. I was laying on the most comfy bed of my life. It was so fluffy and, well, cloud-like. It was so dreamy. Wait. Where am I?

"Your in your new room." Came Alec's voice from the corner of the room.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Umm, not really." Alec looked down nervously. "We'll go over that later."

I thought about that for a few moments. There was definitely something he wasn't telling me. I didn't really trust him, but then I rarely trust anyone. "Can you excuse me?" I asked. "I'm going to shower and get changed."

"Good luck with that. You don't have any clothes here." Oh. Well then. "We'll have to get some from your place."

I glanced down at my clothes. They were a bit rumpled, bu they would be fine. I sighed.

"Okay, Marie is at school and Marcie is at work. We can go now." I said, nodding.

"Let's go."

*~*

"Can you change the coat hanger back?" I asked Alec as we walked into Marcie's place. He chuckled.

"Yeah sure. Go and grab some clothes and meet me back down here." I nodded.

I sprinted up the stairs. I grabbed a small suitcase from the spare room and began chucking clothes in it. I didn't even look at what I was grabbing. I shoved as many clothes in as possible and zipped it shut. A flash of sunlight on glass caught my eye. Looking up, I saw a picture frame in the back of my closet.

Picking it up, I could make out the picture. It was my parents and I. We were infront of our house at one of our famous annual barbecues. It was taken before I had my power and my partying stage. Before my life became a mess. I unzipped a corner of my suitcase and shoved the picture in.

"Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house?!" A voice shrieked from downstairs. I sighed, picking up my suitcase, an hurriedly made my way downstairs.

I followed the voices into the living room. Marie was standing behind the couch, using it as a barrier. Alec was standing with his hands in the air. They bothe stopped talking and looked at me as I entered the room.

"Oh, so your running away with your boyfriend now?" Marie asked, eyeing my suitcase.

" Ok, one, he's not my boyfriend, and two, I'm not running away with him. I'm just leaving for a bit." I explained, a bit irritated that she would jump to that conclusion.

" Ok well, you both need to get out of my house. Now!" Marie demanded.

"Can you do anything?" Alec asked, glancing at me. I shook my head.

"No she is to stressed. I can't even get her thoughts right now." I responded. Marie cocked her head.

"What are you two talking about?" She demanded. "You know what? Never mind."

With that, she sprinted into the kitchen. Alec and exchanged confused glances. What was she doing? We followed her into the kitchen.

She stood infront of the cutlery drawer. Holding a knife. My brain shut off with one glance at the knife. For weeks after the accident I couldn't even use a butter knife to butter toast. My body just quits. I could distantly feel myself collapse onto the ground.

"Fyre!" Alec's voice was the last thing I heard before everything went black.
