Vampires have given up with the werewolves- peace has been made. But now the vampires have a new enemy- the shape shifters, whom are unaware they have trodden into their territory.
Several humans have found themselves being turned, killed or just plain confused by this ordeal but a few enjoy the action.
I guess you can say the three species' could be the death of eachother....

Carrie had never suspected that vampires lived on the land, and felt foolish for leading her family into what could be their death, but still, they needed to hunt because they needed to feed. Human or animal, the blood was the same to them.

The hunt had begun a matter of minutes ago, so it was understandable that they hadn’t came across any vulnerable bleeders (humans) yet. They weren’t even any animals on the outskirts of the forest, which was to be blamed on the vampires of course.

‘Wouldn’t it be easier to just go into the forest?’ Damien asked her, she shook her head in reply and then added the full explanation, ‘it is vampire land and we cannot afford the fight to start before our numbers are greater than themselves or at least even,’

That was explanation enough for him, and his body began to morph into that of a crow. Any human to witness this change would have cringed with fear and disgust, as it appeared to be a painful procedure- which it always was to begin with.

The body has to destroy itself, break each and every bone and puncture every organ just so it can adjust to a new shape. After this, the body goes numb and the changes, the outward physical changes take place, such as the size and colour. In truth the only thing that goes unchanged in the shape shifters body is it’s mind, mentally and emotionally.

Of course that doesn’t mean that the shape shifter doesn’t take on the instincts and talents of what it becomes, that’s part of the fun with shape shifting, you quite literally become that being.

‘Be careful when you do that,’ Carrie hissed, ‘you never know who is hanging around!’

Her fear of the species being discovered was greater than ever before, since moving into land that was populated at least. ‘Chill your boots Carrie, no one sane goes around at this time, were safe,’ Damien replied. I forgot to add that even if the shape shifter takes on the form of an animal, it is still able to use it’s human voice.

Carrie simply shook her head, and Damien, who knew he had somewhat beaten her in a sense, took off into the sky- heading, of course, towards the forest where he could hunt as the bird and be full (thanks to the birds pitifully small stomach) when he returned and transformed back into his human form.

Barry- Carrie’s partner- was in town. He felt no need for hunting that night as he had hunted the night before, on a human and few house pets. Well, he in truth was only there because he didn’t want to be with Carrie for a few hours, he was quite angry at her miscalculations- mistakes like that cost.

‘Excuse me, sir, but could you please park your car somewhere else,’ a small man said, he was around half the size off Barry, with thinning hair and tooth picks for arms. ‘Is there a problem?’

‘Several, actually,’

‘Care to tell me about them,’ Barry said, folding his arms across his broad chest. He gave the man a quick flash of a wild dog in his face- one of the other great things about shape shifting is that you can partially switch certain parts of you about with other living things.

The man was now petrified. ‘How did you-” he began, stunned, intrigued but most of all scared.

‘Nothing I can teach you,’ Barry grumbled, he just wanted to be somewhere- anywhere- but here. ‘I’ll leave you be, little man, I’m a new comer so I don’t know what I’m doing,’

‘It’s fine, really,’ All of a sudden Barry felt a burning in his throat and a growl in his stomach. And then, the man heard a growl of it’s own, Barry’s wolf growl.

Now the man was shaking, He was still shaking when Barry sunk his teeth into his neck, but that didn’t last long because soon he was drained.

The best part of it all was that it was a needless death, and that made the blood all the more filling.
