"We don’t have time left to regret. It will take more than common sense - So stop your wondering take a stand.
There's more to life than just to live," Taylor sounded amazing. She was up on stage again, singing to all of her peers and fans. Everyone loved the famous Taylor Renee, and her songs were
amazing! She looked beautiful up on that stage, blonde hair perfect and blue eyes shining. She loved to sing, and she was one of the best singers in the world right now.
She sung her heart out.
"Cause an empty room can be so loud...It’s too many tears to drown them outttt! So hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on!
One single smile a helping hand;
It's not that hard to be a friend!
So don’t give up stand 'til the end -
There’s more to life than just to live!"
The entire audience was screaming her name, and singing with her singsong voice. She was still astounded at how much she loved this, even now after all the time she’d been doing it. But she couldn't think about anything else; all she could think of was her screaming fans and singing her heart out.
"When you love someone,
And they break your heart
don’t give up on love
Have faith, restart
Just hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on!
When it falls apart
And your feeling lost
All your hope is gone
don’t forget to hold on, hold on!
Cause an empty room can be so loud
It’s too many tears to drown them out
So hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on."
Then the screaming fans were gone. Everything was gone. The only thing she could see was darkness. That's when Taylor realized.
She opened her eyes. She looked to her direct left: not surprised to see that the TV was playing one of her favorite songs, Hold On. She automatically was grumpy. She wished that hadn't just been a dream. Damn the fact that she couldn't sing worth crap.
She grumpily got out of bed and got dressed for school, knowing that if she didn't then her step-dad would come in and make her get up. She’d taken a shower the night before so she wouldn't have to in the morning.
She went into the kitchen and looked at the clock. It was 7:00- she had about 15 or 20 minutes before her mother would drive her to school. And before anyone else in the family would be ready. She didn't have her own car. So she grabbed her book bag and went into the living room, sitting on the couch. She wrote an entry into her diary about the dream and wrote a little poem at the end, reminding herself to submit it to the best website in the world, StoryWrite, later that night.
School went by pretty normal until lunch. Taylor went straight to her table.
"Hey Princess," her best friend, Danny, said as she pulled him up to the lunch line. That's when it happened.
An announcement was made. It said: "Taylor Hughes and Aiden Delaughlin please report to Mr. Duell's office."
And Taylor almost fainted. Her knees went weak and she fell. Luckily, Danny caught her and pulled her up. He grabbed her arm and half carried her with one hand toward the door, coughing to hide his laughter with the other.
About halfway there she regained composer and punched Danny, telling him to get his lunch and promising to tell him the details later.
All the way to the door she was thinking about what a jerk Aiden was. Why the hell was she going to Duell's with HIM!? That rich snob? He hated her, and she hated him. She hated even seeing him! What had he done to get her into trouble now? She really hated the fact that he went to the public school, apparently out of choice. She thought, bitterly, he probably had just wanted to show off to all the kids here like Taylor- whose parents both worked hard to earn a middle class living. She couldn't believe she'd ever liked him.
But she hated him. And his amazing looks and perfect manners just made it worse.
She reached the door only to turn beat red. He was standing there, looking at her. And what was worse- he held the door open. She knew it was nothing nice for her- he did that to any girl, because he was raised that way. He was glaring as he held it for her. He probably did it to give him the right to say he was nice to her. No way was she letting that happen.
She sidestepped and went out the door next to him, opening it herself and prancing toward the principal's, trying not to think about how handsome he was the entire way there.
