“Affirmative, the suspect is on the move,” I confirmed, “He’s heading towards the subway station.” “Don’t lose sight of him, I repeat, do not lose sight of him,” the informant instructed.  I began to follow the target, Mr. Jamison, and I noticed a briefcase within his possession. “The Target seems to be meeting up with the buyers,” I spoke into my sunglass’s microphone, “He just turned into an alley.” “Move now! You know your mission. Kill the supplier and get that briefcase.”  “I’m on it,” I informed and hid behind the brick wall with my gun raised. I quietly peeked around the corner, and saw the 2 buyers and supplier shaking hands. I couldn’t hear their conversation, but could tell they were about to start the exchange. I glanced around to see if we were alone, and I jumped out while firing a shot at the target. Mr. Jamison fell onto the ground lifeless, and the two buyers brought out their guns. “Sorry Boys, the gig is up. Now if you don’t want to get hurt, drop your weapons,” I ordered the men as I walked into the alley. “You talk big, let’s see if you can deliver, missy,” One buyer said as he charged towards me. He went in for a punch, but I was too fast for him, and kicked him in the gut which made him come down onto his knees. I then shot at the other one, and managed after a few shots to hit his shoulder blade. Right when I was about to grab the briefcase and run, the man I kicked in the gut grabbed me from behind as the other aimed the gun at me covered in blood. “I guess you couldn’t reach your own standards,  any last words?” “As a matter of fact, I do,” I replied pressing the button of my smoke bomb in my pocket, “3, 2, 1!” I dropped the bomb out of my pocket and smoke fogged up the alley in seconds. “You,” The man behind me grumbled. Without another word, I smashed my head into his face to knock him out, and ran for the case. I grabbed the briefcase, and was about to run, but suddenly a gunshot went off. The smoke was clearing, and both men were own the ground while another one had appeared with a handgun. “Well, I knew they were up to something, but my own subordinates,” The mysterious man said and then stared at me, “Thank you for doing most of the dirty work, miss.” I held my gun in his direction and demanded, “Who are you?” “I don’t mean any harm, see?” He dropped his gun on the ground and put his hands in the air, “I’m Derek Ruddick, and I’m their boss. I knew something was being kept from me, so I watched from behind the scenes.” “Mission complete, however I have a complication,” I spoke to the informant. “Do as you see fit, but don’t complicate the situation,” he responded before he turned off communication. I lowered my gun, and I walked towards Mr. Ruddick who was casually standing there. I circled the man before I put my gun back in my blazer, and he asked, “What’s your name?” “Alice, Alice Gray,” I answered as I took off my sunglasses. “Well Alice, I’ve never seen such a beautiful girl as yourself fight so fiercely,” He explained, “How old are you?” “I’m 19 Mr. Ruddick,” I replied back. “We’re about the same age, I’m 21,” He pointed out, “And please call me Derek.” “Derek, what are you trying to pinpoint with these questions?” “ It seems I’ve fallen for you Alice,” He responded, “You’re very striking, I’d love a women like you at my side.” “Derek, stop joking around please,” I asked not believing him. Derek walked towards me until I has backed up to the brick wall, and he placed his hands above my head. “Alice, I’m not joking around. I’m going to have you by my side.” I could see his determined blue eyes as he stared into mine, and knew he was really serious. “We hardly know one another, Derek, and I cannot jeopardize my mission, so if you’d excuse me,” I excused myself, and began to walk away. “I’ll make you mine, Alice, and be prepared because I am going to do everything to get you right here next to me this time,” He warned before I left the alley. I turned around, but he had vanished right into thin air. I pondered over what Derek had said as I went to deliver the briefcase to headquarters, and how he had said this time he would do everything to get me by his side. I wonder if I met him somewhere before. I wonder if he’s really going to pull through on that, anyhow that’s the least of my worries right now. I still have return this, and I have a day off tomorrow to prepare for. Luckily the Agency is taking a liking to me and give me one day off every month now. It’s great to know I can relax for one day, I just hope I can keep my mind off of Derek’s proclamation long enough to enjoy the day.
