I looked up at him with wide curious eyes. His cold expression never changed as he looked down to meet me eye to eye. My hands shook by my side and my bottom lips trembled slightly. I bit my bottom lip to stop it from trembiling, and clasped my hands behind my back. He moved his hand slightly and I looked at his hand. His left pinky was hidden by his thumb. I inhaled a shaky breath as i pictured Danny standing beside me. He always hid his left pinky because half of it was cut off, and he thought it was ugly. When I would notice that he was hiding his pinky I would grab his left hand and kiss what was left of his pinky. A grin would slowly make it's way on his face and he would pull me in for an embrace. "Annabell," Miki whispered behind me and I turned to face her. She wrapped me in a hug and wiped the tears that were streaming down my face. "I'm sorry," I pulled away from Miki and apologized again. "I just was thinking of Danny," I explained to Miki and something passed in her eyes. "Annabell, you need to move on. It's been two years," she said the words gently and I knew she meant well but it was hard to move on. After all, Danny was my whole world. "Danny Frather?" the honey filled voice spoke behind me. I whipped my head around and found myself staring at the guy who made me eat. "You know Danny?" I asked yet again amazed. "Of course. He went to my highschool. He had the chopped off pinky," he looked at me and I felt myself searching his face for any sign of an emotion. "Oh," the word dropped out of my mouth and I dropped the subject. "I'm was his friend, Chase Killings," he held out his hand and I hesitated before putting my hand in his. He shook my hand and held onto it a bit longer than I would have liked. "I'm Annabel Shirman, and this is my best friend, Miki Chader," I introduced myself and Miki. Miki narrowed her eyes at him and I playfully slapped her arm. "Be nice, Miki," I pretended to glare at her and she cracked a smile. "Miki! Hun, come help with the dishes," another woman called and Miki hurried off toward the direction of the voice. "I'm going to go help them," I told Chase and scurried off. I gathered the plates and brought them to the kitchen. "He likes you, hun," Ms. Clark said as she finished scrubbing a dish. "No he doesn't. Besides, I'm sworn off of love," I sighed and grabbed the towel. Ms.Clark raised her eyebrows and pursed her lips but didn't say anything. Miki came dancing in the room and grabbed my hand. "Not now, Miki. I promise I'll dance with you after the dishes are done," I grinned at her and she scowled. "Hurry up!" she wrinkled her nose and I giggled. I handed her a towel and together we finished up the rest of the dishes. Dark clouds rolled in by the time we finished the dishes and I let out a soft curse. I took off my baggy shirt reavealing my sports bar and toned stomach. I ran to my tent and put on my only pair of shorts. "Let's Dance Girly!" Miki shouted as she opened the tent flap. A smile played on my lips and we both ran out in the rain.

Sorry it is kinda short but I promise I'll get another chapter out soon!
