It was three weeks later, when Gabriel noticed anything new. He accidently smashed the local school bullies.
“Hey get up wimp” shouted an aggressive and deep tone of voice. “Yeah get up wimp.” copying with the most annoying voice. David and Brian the local bullies where punching, a boy younger than them. “Stop.” yelled a voice behind them. “Well, well, well look who it is to save the day, freaky geek boy.” said the bully sarcastically laughing at his joke. There stood Gabriel taller than ever before, “Let them go or else.” shouted Gabriel in an aggressive tone. “Make me.” yelled one of the bullies back, “Yeah make me” yelled Brian who was smaller than David. “Don’t make me do this.” said Gabriel feeling funny. “Do what?” they both asked. Gabriel felt a strange energy pour out of him, a green light followed by smoke fell down to the earth. There was a rumble, the ground gradually shook violently.
The earth cracked in a wonderful pattern it almost looked like a tribal crossed with a Celtic pattern. Green light erupted out from the ground, and there it was a beautiful, graceful creature. She stood at least 7 ft, green hair that touched the ground; she was also wearing a leaf dress, she had green eyes, and finally she had strange weapons growing out her arms, not a lot but it made her look like a god. “Master, call me Earthroot, did you call my aid?” her voice boomed. The four boys looked in awe at the amazing creature called Earthroot. “W-what the…” to frightened to say anything else the bullies ran. “Are you alright?” asked Gabriel to the small boy, on the ground with a nose bleed. “Y-yeah jus…” the boy passed out on the floor. “Master shall I help him for you?” asked Earthroot. “What do you mean?” asked Gabriel back to her. “Healing, that’s what.” she answered back. “Okay jus…” with that, Earthroot summoned a cloud of golden energy at the young boy. The cloud span in the air, then spread out into the shape of the young boy. With a gasp for breath the boy awoke. “Feel better?” asked Earthroot “Yeah” coughed the boy. He looked around the empty area of the play ground; a teacher came running along with the two bullies. “What’s going on here?” he said looking at the two boys. The two boys never answered; instead they looked at Earthroot, who looked like she was waiting, but what for? “Answer me now.” he yelled with spit flying everywhere. Earthroot walked up to the teacher and said “leave them now” “who –what are you?” asked the teacher.
Earthroot jumped back and lifted up her hands, vines came pouring out of what appeared to be the earth. The vines entwined around the teacher and the bullies, and then pulled them into the air. “Don’t ever try, to punish these two.” pointing to Gabriel and the boy. “But these two.” She said pointing to the bullies. “Earthroot stop please.” commanded Gabriel. “Look I mean I did need your help and all, but let them go.” with that she let them go.
Gabriel arrived home at normal time, his mother and father where looking at him worried. “Care to explain who that woman was, that tried to kill your teacher, and classmates?” asked his father in an angry tone. “You know which one I am on about” he said before Gabriel could answer. “What this one?” Gabriel asked. “Don’t play pranks boy.” he said even more angry. Gabriel felt the same energy empty out his body. This time it was more powerful, the house rumbled, and then shook, there it was the same pattern that was in the desolate playground. Earthroot was standing in thick green smoke, “Hello” she said with a smirk on her face. “Adam there is something I need to tell you.” said his mother.
