“Not everything was as it seemed.”
Its last period, class is a bludge per usual. I’m sitting by the window loving the cool breeze flowing in. I check the time and see theirs five minutes left to the bell. I can’t wait till the bell ring, since I'll be able to see my older brother Tamaki, again whom I haven’t seen for a few days since his been travelling the world. I wonder what souvenirs he has got for me.
The bell rings and I rush out of the classroom to our meeting spot. With a surprise my older sister Mia came to pick me up. She didn’t look happy, but I intended not to ask coz she probably had another fight with her boyfriend. On the way home, the radio was on so it was pretty quiet.
We finally got home. As we walked into the front door. Mia gestured me to go into the living room. When I walked into the living room, I see the whole family there. They were very quiet looking very down and depressed. Something was up, I just know it and my instincts were giving me a very bad feeling about this.
I sat on the lounge chair next to Mia. Both my parents sat across me and my twin brothers Zero and Hiro sat on the lounge chair beside us. I looked at everyone curiously, mum was holding a tissue box, dad looked very angry and serious, the twins look uncomfortable and my sister looked very nervous.
I couldn’t take this quietness anymore.
“Can someone please tell me what is going on?” I asked
“Well… I don’t know how to tell you this but… umm… Tamaki won’t be able to make it home,” Mia replied.
What does she mean by this...?
