Topic: The Zero List

I'm sure that we've all had times where we spend hours pouring over making our writing perfect, fixing every little sentence and tweeking every tiny grammatical error, to then eagerly post it on here. And then we wait, refreshing every minute, checking the read count every other minute, looking for the beautiful red sign that shows that someone out there has left a comment; waiting, waiting, waiting... waiting while your hair grows long and your eyes turn square from staring at the computer for too long. Waiting, and waiting... and still nothing. Zero comments.
I think it's time for those beautiful works that so much effort went into, that have zero comments, to finally get the review they deserve. I'm going to create a list so that kind souls who take pity on these poor commentless works, can make their day and change that zero. Of course, this list needs to come from somewhere and that's where I'd like you to share your works which have zero comments. Please post them below (with a link would be great), and I'll add them to this list (which is also below).

A few small guidelines:
- absolutely zero comments
- not something you only posted up today; give it a chance
- don't spam it (if you want to just advertise your work use the Writing Plugs)

I will change the list as works get comments, so things will come and go. Also no promises that everything posted below will make the list, but there's very little reason why something won't.

If you do post something to go on the list, it would be wonderful if you could leave a comment on one of the works already on the list. This does two things; it means they get a comment, and also makes more room on the list for you.
I hope people find this list useful, for their own work and for finding other works to read. All I have left to say is it's time to dig up those works with zero comments out of the dark, and let them get a bit of light.

So basically the review chain without the review part

Kind of. Of course hopefully it generates a lot of constructive reviews, it hasn't got the same structured chain. It's not just about reviewing it's also about getting those long-forgotten works out there.

Re: The Zero List

I can't suggest any zero-comment works, because if such a work is good and I found it, it already has one comment (from me smile).

I have a lot of 1-comment works to point out, though!

Re: The Zero List

Umm, does this include books/novels that have no comment on a particular chapter yet or just completed works like short stories and such? I'd like to know cause if it does I can recommend one chapter of my novel that hasn't received a comment yet.

Re: The Zero List

I have a few pieces that fit that description, and not surprisingly, most are from when I first started out here on Booksie. Since then, I have become a much better writer. Most of the writing that I haven't gotten any reviews on, I almost would not like people to see, at the time, it was some of my best work (I'm embarrassed to say), but now, it's not like I can just take them down because that would mean losing the thousand reads I did get from them together. But there is one story that I wrote at the end of last year that I haven't had reviewed, though it is the only one out of all those stories that haven't been reviewed, that has been added to someone's shelf and liked. The title of this short story is Lifted:

Books/novels are included as well. If you've got a chapter with no comments you're welcome to recommend it.

I know what that's like, I have a lot of stories from awhile ago which make me wonder what I was thinking. I'd like to think it shows improvement though.
I'll add your more recent story to the list

Re: The Zero List

I'd love someone to review my new space thriller 'Outsider'. It's not brand new, but its still relatively new (finished it in the last month) Great idea btw, especially for new writers looking for some criticism.

Re: The Zero List

So far this book has no reads. It's called the X Archives (https://www.booksie.com/521900-the-x-archives). I'd say it's quite unique, extremely short, and easy to read.

Re: The Zero List

Thanks Archia! Your book sounds good Bruvton and very interesting. I can check it out for you if you would like me to.

Signing out,

Re: The Zero List

I commented on The Lonely Leander by Dillonxo, so it's safe to take it off of the list now.

Re: The Zero List

I truly feel this is an awesome idea, yet exactly like Oleg, I would have already left comment had I read, but I do have a few of my chapters with no comments, just do’t remember which ones without having to do a lot of search!

I'm glad you like the idea Spyguy, and yes I see how that can be an issue. But if you happen to remember or come across any of your works that have no comments feel free to post them here.
