Topic: IMAGINATION STATION

Welcome all:

I'm writing this solely because I wanna lay down a few ground rules for this House. There's one major guideline, and that's to only post stuff here if you believe it to be a piece you've put an incredible amount of imagination into. Whether that be a novel, a short story, or a poem, please follow that rule.
I'd also appreciate it if you make the effort to read the works of others. Don't comment something silly and common, either; most writers take serious pride and ownership in their work and they want a decent response in return. Be at least a little professional.
I can't wait to (hopefully) see this community grow and to read the works of as many creative writers as possible.
                                                                                                                                                                            Thanks,
                                                                                                                                                                                         Hans

Hey Hans, wasn't sure about the new layout of Booksie at first, but the Houses feature is very cool, what with the forums and everything. Hopefully, it will bring the community closer and unleash the imagination within us all!

I'm sure it will. I have little doubt that this update will be a bad thing, despite the fact that it's a bit confusing at first. I aimlessly wandered around for the first thirty minutes that the update occurred... lol. I'm pleased with the House system so far, but I dislike the fact that we can only be a part of 5. I hope they expand that number.

Re: IMAGINATION STATION

Ah, didn't know there was a limit. I was thinking of joining ones specific to genres, like a horror house, fantasy, etc. so the stories are separated and easy for people to search. 5 is a bit low, especially considering as egotistical writers we will all probably want our own, hopefully no feuds occur as a result. House Targaryen, er, I mean, Imagination Station!

Re: IMAGINATION STATION

Hey check out my work Networks, and leave a review if anybody gets the chance. I think its one of my more imaginative pieces. I am happy to read what your imagination has conjured up as well!

Re: IMAGINATION STATION

Hey everyone!
I agree with Hanorbi on the forums being a good feature for the site. This can let us bounce ideas back and forth, plus generate feedback from the community about any of our writings. I hoping it will help expand my fan base a bit more, of course I can understand that my writing may just appeal to a small segment of the community. So, i'll just be patient and see where this new format will take me. I hope to be involved in plenty of discussions soon. See ya round.

Oooohhhhh! Is that why there's so few houses? That was really confusing to me.

Re: IMAGINATION STATION

I posted my first book last night. It's called The Tooth. I really want to get some unbiased opinion about it because the only people who I've shown it to are my family and friends so they probably wouldn't tell me if it's bad.

The best thing to do is to just write whatever you feel like and post it. It doesn't really matter whether it's good or not, because at the end of the day as long as you put effort in it'll show.
In case I completely misunderstood your statement/question and you mean that you don't know how to use the website then you should refer to the Booksie help page, which is here: https://www.booksie.com/member/help-guide

Re: IMAGINATION STATION

Huh. Now that I've seen this place, I'm regretting publishing my story so soon. I should've published it here, instead... Even the name matches this House! Imavition? Imagination?? Gah. I guess I'll be posting my future works here, then.

*Edit* Oh wow, I could've just edited my publishing settings the entire time. Huh. The more you know.

Hello! I just got into booksie, and I am still playing it by ear here.
I am looking forward to being part of this House!
