Sartorius here:
1. Horror, but also write crime/mystery on occasion. (I felt lucky to win the recent Booksie POV Villain contest with my "Aberrant Ambition Noir" featuring the POV of a clever lady criminal)
2. Poe, Lovecraft, King, Barker, Rice, Jackson, Bradbury...to name a few.
3. Sometimes I awaken in the middle of the night with a story idea, write it down on a notepad, then can't read what I've written in the morning, lol. Also practice lucid dreaming (being conscious of the dream state while asleep - opens up a whole new world).
4. My short story, "The Missing Case of the Missing Case" has just been published in the anthology, "Murder! Mystery! Mayhem!" - available on Amazon. In my totally unbiased opinion, it's a very good book, lol! Also, just today I was notified my short story of horror, "The Ancient Forest Terror of Lucid Realms", was accepted for inclusion in the upcoming "Deep in the Woods" anthology by Sirens Call Publications. You'll notice I worked the lucid dream angle in - the protagonist becomes a practitioner after reading a book on the subject by a Stanford University professor - there is actually such a research book...that's how I became interested. I'm currently working on a podcast script (horror) revolving around Gullah Creole folklore in South Carolina circa 1890s and I've just finished a new song called "Feeling Left Out" - a comedic piece about the travails of being left handed. Most of my songs are funny; my satirical "A Fart is the Best Response" was judged a finalist in the 2020 USA Songwriting Competition and is available on all the conventional venues like Amazon, Apple Music Spotify, etc.
