Topic: Working on more than one project at a time

One of the tricks I've found for increasing productivity is to work on more than one project at a time. That way, if you need to think through Project A, you can set it aside for a bit and work on Project B. This helps keep up your forward momentum and maintaining a good daily word count.

Re: Working on more than one project at a time

Following my own advice at the moment. I'm currently working on a historical mystery set in Weimar Berlin. Right now I'm trying to figure out how best to introduce a piece of evidence (mysteries can be tricky that way) so I've set it aside for a day or two to let my subconscious figure it out while forging ahead with a science fiction novel. The important thing is to keep up forward momentum!

I agree, you will always need to take a break, and the work you do on another project could help you with the first.
