Well, this is part of a story I wrote when I was younger. I was thinking about re-writing it into a whole novel, so let me know if you think I should :) If I make it a whole story, the title makes more sense ;) so in this part, Emmie is about to leave her home to go to an island they think is the place of death. Her people live in the treetop, and her mother is trying to convince her not to go.
