“Imagine a world wherein Little Red Riding Hood was never accosted by ravenous wolves, wherein no boy ever cried wolf. This is the world that Wyatt Levine finds himself in, where werewolves have evolved alongside humanity and share a peaceful co-existence together.
Wyatt, a young, gay man etching out a living in London with his werewolf partner, Don, decides to undergo a new experimental surgery to become a werewolf, in order to address his growing dysmorphia of being trapped in his inferior human body.
The surgery is seemingly a success, and Wyatt relishes the strength and grace his new body provides him. However, it seems to have only allowed his ego to run rampant. He develops a superiority complex and misses no opportunity to make it known to ordinary humans that he is the stronger race. What will this transformation mean for Wyatt and his relationship with his partner, and ultimately, the human populace of London?”
Emily was born different from her siblings Jack and Michael. She was born with a talent or in her case, she was born with magic. A magic that was lost through so many generations from her mother side. The magic that determines her future already. Emily didn’t know she has magic until one night when she was almost kidnapped by the shadow people. Shadow people lives in everyone and everywhere, they have many disguises, many names, and many faces. Why they want Emily is a whole new mystery to her just as her power. One thing she knows for sure is that she isn’t the only one with magic, there are 14 other people who possess this magic. Magic comes in many different forms and it determines who gets what type of magic. Emily was chosen to be the gate holder, a cardholder who has the power to summon different creatures from different realms by unlocking them with her cards. Unsure of what her future holds, she set out on a journey to find others like her, one thing she doesn’t know is that sometimes magic brings out the worst in people…
nora: the last chronicle of devildom, made by kazunari kakei, is a twelve part japanese series, that depicts a young demon named nora, who is the legendary hound of hell cerberus. nora and the leader of the demon world, the dark liege are at odds, and she sends him to the human world, as a familiar to the human kazuma, his master now, due to nora being too childish. i feel that anyone of at least 6th grade and up, would like this book, as it appeals to people's senses, but especially to those who love anime style japanese books.
