This one I think is my most personal poem. I made the voluntary choice to move away from California to the east coast, to leave behind a home I had spent almost my entire life there. I miss it more than I could ever express, and I'm happy to be visiting in September. Still, visiting is never the same as living there. Moving through every road, every coastline each day. It's painful.
A short observation on a commute at Manchester Victoria train station a few years ago. I liked how I was with such a diverse group of people, from different backgrounds, cultures, religions etc. yet we all had one common end of being on the same train.
' Tofino Recall and Farewell ' or ' Do you remember Tofino ? ' is a nostalgic and romantic poem written by A.J.B Minime, in May 2015, right after is trip in Tofino, a small waterfront village in Canada, just at the beginning of the Pacific Ocean.
" Through your gaze I can feel nostalgy "
" Because the value of memories has no sense in everyday life, and present is a relic of the past "
