Friday August 13, 2010, was the last time I woke up in my room and made plans for the day. Happily getting ready to meet up with friends. The next time I would wake up would be 3 weeks later. In a hospital bed, only to realize the life I once lived... was over.

If you're wondering what kind of nerd would take the lyrics of a popular Disney song and replace the words to make the song about cellular respiration, it would be the nerdhood to which I belong. This is what happened when I got bored with making a notecard for a Biology test. NERD PRIDE!!!!! (See what I did there? Pride, like a lion pride) Giving credit where credit is due: The poem/song is written to the beat of Elton John's version of "The Circle of Life." The title of this work is also an adaptation of the song's title.
