I'm tired of being exhausted before going to my bed I'm tired of waking up each morning with a wondering head Wondering if I covered all of mom’s needs throughout the day Wondering if there’s more that I can do to make her feel better in any way We rarely see or hear from my siblings But that’s not all… We also rarely here from mom’s siblings It’s sad that none of them regularly call Mom gave birth to 4 children, but you'd think I'm the only child My siblings must think that calling a few times a year will make her smile My siblings don't have much in common with me One of the main differences is... I can’t just ignore the sick and just "do me" And I help my parents without an attached fee I moved both my parents into my home because they were not able I took many days off work to visit doctors with them to get their health stable Dad passed away after a fight with cancer Now Mom is challenged with LBD and there is no simple answer "Leave them alone!" That's what mom will often yell I quickly run to her room Knowing she needs to be comforted and wants to go in more detail She worries about her grandkids, thinking they're not treated right In response, I make calls to the family no matter how late at night I call family members on the phone But Mom talks for a while, then says, “they're not real, they were cloned” Mom comes in my room almost every night, She whispers real low when she is in fright When I don’t wake up fast enough, she grabs my toes She has even shook my legs but that’s as far as she goes She hears someone getting beat and reports it to me I reply, where are they Mom? She says, “shhh...come and see” Mom opens the front door and begins to scream “Leave them alone!” --- It’s like she woke up in the middle of a bad dream It’s love that has…
