You never know what to say,
When you hear the words;
She died today.
But I knew, because it played over and over in my head,
My mom is going to be dead.
No more of her gentel touch,
No more, can I feel her clutch.
I can never hear her sweet and caring voice,
I can never hear, her singing rejoice.
Just the sound of those last words;
She died today.
I will never see her beautiful face,
the glow of her skin, the shine in her eyes,
Just the look on her face when we said,
our goodbyes.
Long gone is her sweet smell,
how sweet her smell was,
all I smell is;
farewell.
All of this and more, my mother left me,
but she is here no more.
Some days I need her more than life,
So do her kids to be a mom,
and her husband to be a wife.
