You tell me you know the world -
Telling me that I’ve got it wrong -
You say that the world is a playground

The playground is a place for no regrets, you say -
And I’m the only one who never forgets
And on you play

I’m inside
And I’m happy
I drift and I dream

I find my essence
Happiness finds me -
It is truth’s quintessence

And one day the world falls
Like a star from the sky
And you look for me

You ask me what to do
I say - I haven’t a clue
Because I don’t know you

I recover quickly
And you’re still on the ground
You struggle around

I try to grasp your hand
But your hand is too sweaty
From playing on the playground

So the sun passes - and then the moon
You’re still down in the gloom
And then you see

You drift and you dream
Finding your essence
And you get up

You pop up as a shooting star -
And find your way to earth
I’m here waiting for you

I’m the one with regrets -
And now you do too
The sky lights up with your new birth

I tell you not to take the earth for granted -
Because you were so sure you were planted -
In the best spot under the sun

As you saw - you shriveled in drought
You died
Until you remembered how to feel again

I tell you -
Have regrets - only for awhile
Then learn how to walk again
